The number of currency points that can be earned are limited on a daily basis. VIP Subscription Members can earn up to 5,000 points per day while in game mode. Non-VIP Members can earn up to 1,000 points per day. Again, these are currency points under your Profile. The maximum number of currency points you can earn per race as either a jockey or bettor is 500. It does not matter how many points are earned or displayed under your stats display, whether in the game or in the community. Statistical points - for bragging rights and leaderboard recognition - have no daily limit. This applies to both VIP Members and to regular game purchase members.

you dont just 5000 per day for being a member, you have to play the game. You only get points when you jockey or bet on a horse which comes in the top 4. So if you only jokcey 1 race and win the race and earn 175 points. That is all you get even though you are a VIP for that day.
As a VIP the maximum number of points you can earn in one day is 5,000 total, jockey and bettor combined. If you have a longshot horse score more than 500 points in any start, say 1,100 for instance, the 1,100 points counts toward your "points per start" average, and so forth, but only 500 points goes toward your daily point total. Limiting the points like that encourages players to race more often each day, and that's what those nice folks here at HRF like to see.
Another little tip if you're trying to achieve your 5000 points as quickly as possible is to also wager on your horse. So instead of just getting 500 points for winning with your longshot, you also get 500 for the winning wager. 1000 pts per race is my goal. Unfortunately it doesn't happen as often as I like :-), but I make it a point to wager on horses in the 10-1 range. There is no points incentive to try to race a horse with higher odds, unless you're padding your points per start. Good Luck!

When I first started the game I used to bet $10,000+ on my horses, but I was hurting my odds. So be careful not to wager to much. $100 win shouldn't change the tote at all.
