Hey guys. I stumbled across this video on Youtube. It's a montage of some of the best finishes in the Derby over over the past 20 years - from 1987-2006. Though it may not be all-inclusive, it has some pretty cool finishes from some great horses.
I had totally forgotten about some of those tight finishes. And I'm sorry to say...some I didn't even know about, so it was an education all-around. Cool.
wait till pyro takes it home this year...war pass is a hoax, wayyyy past prime..its going to be pyro this year..as hrg says "put your money on the nose"
That one finish with Grindstone is one of the most astonishing finished to a horse race that I have ever seen. i remember it took the stewards 15 minutes to put his number up as the victor of the Kentucky Derby, that photo finish was beyond incredicble
I completely agree. I can still remember watching the race...after it was done, everyone in the stands were just kind of confused about what was going on. When they posted Grindstone's number, everyone went crazy!

My two horses for the derby are Colonel John & Monba
They have been my favorites since the Hollywood Juvenile in Dec. 2007
* Monba already won over the track
* Colonel John may be better than his father, and we all know what Tiznow did...lol
My favorite Derby years are 1997 with Silver Charm and 1998 with Real Quiet.
In my best Trevor Denman voice "... And Archer_The_Great is out here moving like a winner!!!"
Playa loves that montage. Playa saw it last year and thought it was great.
Hey everybody watch for my Derby selections coming out soon after the post position draw on Wednesday April 30
Thanks for the video, their were some great finishes there.
Cheers
Mick (Australia)
