Best from Behind Horse

Hello All,

Im just a newbie here in world of horse fantasy. Just want to hear from your experience the best FARBACK type of horse you rode and encountered. Mine is HAPPY GILMORE.. down from behind with 25 lengths but came home victoriously with a brilliant style and many energy to spare..

Coming from behind

I guess the best horses that I have rode that have come from behind would be Dancin W Dynamo. I know I have been behind by 16 lengths with Prides Joy and come on to place 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4th. I have also had Grimacing come from behind as well.

Come from behind

Dancin wt dynamo? Is that horse a regular runner in community? also Prides joy? I haven't encountered them with my previous games. By the way, i've ridden about 600 games already.

Horses

Dancin With Dynamo and Prides Joy are regular horses. I am sure you will soon encounter them in your races. In the races that I have run, Dancin With Dynamo is a come from behind horse usually. You will find that some horses work better for you than others. It will take some time.

to get them I would just

to get them I would just radnomize more of the race critera in the race setup details screen. Try going shorter or longer on turf instead of dirt or even change the condition from grade 1 to grade 3 or allowance. That will vary up the horse you get in each race

I like Lionheart as one of

I like Lionheart as one of my favorite closers. He's able to win going wide pretty often and in very good competition. He's more of a router than a sprinter(he shows up in a lot of nine and ten furlong races for better horses if you have him) but he runs well on all surfaces and conditions it seems. You may or may not have certain Community horses based on when you joined.

Silky Sullivan

I like Silky Sullivan from the fifties. Does his best work from far, far off the pace. However, for what ever reason, he took the lead in a marathon race one day, after only 3/4 miles and drew off to wind quite easily. I was a spectator and better that day. Not the jockey. This is not Silky's style of running. I have the race saved.
Among the community horses that I like to ride, is Dancin with Dynimi (sp) I don't have Lionheart. Like the name tho.

Demonsteed

I have rode Demonsteed a couple of times as well and done pretty good. I have also rode Onelove13 and won a couple from behind.

I pretty much ride nothing

I pretty much ride nothing but closers because I can't seem to get horses to settle on the lead or get the lead(even if they're the lone speed) without a challenger passing them and forcing them to waste their energy. Anyway, my favorite closer/community horse in general is Demon Begone. His running style is stated as mid-pack, but in 1 1/2 miles over the turf races he's simply stellar at coming from far back. Happy Gilmore and Ghost Hunter are two others that I've had a lot of sucess with coming from way out of it.

I'm the opposite

Lately I've been having more luck with leaders and stalkers. I haven't ridden any from behind horses in a week or so though.

Pace Scenario

I've found, like in real racing, that it has a lot more to do with the pace scenario. If you get a 1.25 or 1.5 mile race with bunch of rabbits any mid or deep horse that fits in the race should close well.

Cleannancy

I have started riding her in the 11/2 races. When i first start out, I slow her down a lot so she conserves her energy. Then I let her out a little bit at a time. I have won a few races on her. I have also learned to conserve energy on other horses as well to do well at the finish.

best from behind

Try out Vincent Vega. A more of a stalker but consistently gets it done. I see most think Happy Gilmore is the best closer, I haven't seen him entered in a race. Also Saratoga party is a strong closer.

Consistence

I have rode Dancin With Dynamo, Vincent Vega, RunaroundSue, Prides Joy, and Saratoga Party and they have done all quite well as closers. Prides Joy does have a tendency to either lead or close and sometimes she gets the job done. Dancin With Dyanamo is good on the muddy tracks and she can certainly fly in the stretch. Vincent Vega does the same thing and can either lead or close and is also good on muddy tracks. I rode her earlier on a muddy track and won by 10 Lengths.

Bull Run

Even though she is listed as a stalker she has an incredible closing kick sometimes if you run her from far back. She's done really well for me in 2M dirt races.
Also, That's Good does well in the Swaps stakes and I won over a 1000 points with her once when she won the derby (odds:22)

Bull Run

My best from behind horse is Bull Run. Likes a trip, I think best trip is 2 miles or maybe 1m 6f.
Settle at back and watch her fly home over last few furlongs, have won when 15 lenghts down.
Great community horse.

bull run

You people are all mad. Dancing with Dynamo will make Bull run look sick in a 2 mile race. Dancing with Dynamo will go by Bull run every time. Bull run isnt even that strong a closer in a 2 mile race.

true marathon horse

Although Bull Run can get the distance on occasion , she's not a true two mile horse, whereas, Dancing With Dynamo is.
This is not to say, Bull Run isn't a good horse. But, in my opinion, Dancing With Dynamo is much better than Bull Run at this distance.
