She is no doubt a top filly.....and I hope she does well, but there is a great difference between the two genders.....That being said, it would be so great to see a filly like her, to beat all the boys...I would be sitting there with a big proud grin......ruffiano
Oh my goodness, yes! I would love to see Zenyatta beat the boys. I do like Curlin but I tend to like Zenyatta even more. I think that she does deserve title of Horse of the Year.

I think Zenyatta does deserve the Horse of the Year but we have to wait and see what Curlin does on Saturday. I watched Zenyatta race in the Ladies Classic and she is truly in a class by herself. Curlin has to get by horses like Casino Drive to take the classic. It will be a race to definitely watch.
I hope she gets Horse of the Year. She probably won't though, what with Curlin hogging the spotlight. :P
I would like to see her beat colts. I'm rooting for her stablemate, Tiago tomorrow. Then again, I don't want Curlin's fans to be upset. Hrmm...
That really was something, I'd say. She won with her ears pricked and looking like she could do the whole thing again. I think she's better than Curlin - she's never been fully extended, and you've never seen Curlin just draw off from a field with that sort of ease. I'm really hoping that she stays in training(which I believe they do plan to do), stays undefeated, and wins against the boys. Maybe we have the first Classic-winning filly in front of us. Don't get me wrong, I like Curlin, but I really think she's better than him.
It's possible - not likely, but possible - that she's even better than Personal Ensign.... maybe better than Ruffian. We'll have to wait and see. It would take a lot to prove herself better than Personal Ensign - for one, in my opinion, she'd have to have at least one test of her true gameness when she goes head to head with another horse. Either that or she would have to race a full season with some races against the boys and dominate horses like Curlin the same way she dominates against her own sex. Because I'm sure we haven't seen what she can really do yet. Her ears have never gone back in a race, she's never had to fully exert herself. I want to see this mare go for it all the way, I want to know what she's really capable of. Then we'll know where she stands among the all-time greats.
