Since it is obvious that HRF wishes to have no negativity whatsoever in the forums, Flyingdaaka will attempt to make a positive post, but mix in some reality with it.
Positive:
-HRF is the best game out there. Period. No iffs and or buts. The graphics are tremendous and it provides great excitement. Would you rather watch your horses run against other competitors or sit down on the sofa and burn watching lifetime reruns with your spouse ???
-The game does a great job keeping all sorts of stats and data.
-Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to spend a ton of money to be competitive in the game. Being patient, intelligent, and of course, handsome will help to make you a gaming trainer.
-HRF gave up a lot to create a class system. It is obvious that breeding is suffering due directly to the creation of a class system.
-Being able to witness players lose their minds and burn their own stables right to the ground.
-Being able to compete against the games top trainers. It is always a treat when Flyingdaaka checks to see the competition in a tournament entered and finds big names in there.
Negative:
-Sandbaggers.
-Questionable management of the operation of the game. The creation is brilliant, it is just the day to day general management of the game is open for debate.
-A growing desire to quell the ability to speak openly and freely in the forums.
Other than that, there really is nothing else to complain about in the game.
Flyingdaaka welcomes any other input, positive or yes....negative about the game.

Flyingdaaka is right (that was hard for me to say) but you do not have to spend a fortune to enjoy the game. To this day I have yet to spend a penny on this game (Sorry Puddles) and have had some good horses and some so so horses. Right now I cut my stable down to three horses but I enjoy every second I play. I understand things have changed some, it has been awhile since I was in the forums. But I love this game and Horseracing in general. True the breeding has slowed down, I stopped breeding for awhile. I just bred another horse with not much luck, But I will try again soon here after some research as too which combination may be the hot one. Good Luck everyone
See you at the races!!

They got to Daaka!
Reminds of the end of "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest".
Daaka's been lobotomized. ROFL!
There's nothing wrong with complaining, it's just the manner in which we do it. We don't need to beat each other up nor beat HRF up.
We all love playing the game, but there's always going to be some room for improvements, big and small.
Puddles has said he appreciates our ideas and suggestions.
But what he doesn't appreciate is the "BS".
So let's just simply cut the crap. Simple!
But there is nothing wrong with pointing out problems here and there.
If you had a technical problem within your game, would you e-mail support? Yes
Would that be considered complaining? No
So what's the difference of pointing out problems with anything else?
No difference!
So let's enjoy the game we have, while continuing to work together, in a civil manner, to keep making it better. All while helping to make the community grow.
Deal? Deal!

Is breeding suffering?
All I know is I have bred more in the last 2 weeks than I have in my entire training career.
Daaka does this class system really effect breeding negatively?
I would like to compare these stats
numbers bred now - pre Class system
Numbers kept Now - pre class system
Numbers retired Now - pre class sytem.
I may be wrong but i reckon the answer will be that breeding is same or better, horses per stable average has increased (more stable fees) and retirements down on pre class system.
Thus company growth.
(maybe)

This forum move from right off Main Street to the backwoods reminds me of the movie Deliverance. I could expand on the reasons why, but I'm not going to go there.
I enjoy the forums. Regardless of what is posted, you can learn a lot from what one individual may post. You can get some idea of what that individual may be like. For instance, just from reading FlyingDaaka's previous posts, I've come to the conclusion that he is patient, intelligent, and of course handsome. An all around good guy.
If the forums were slowing down the server then I'm all for the move. But, if there are thoughts that we as a community are hindering the marketing or growth of the game, I feel a mistake is being made here. As mentioned above, this game stands alone. There is nothing like it, and it continues to improve. Other horse racing games can't come close to what Puddles has created here. To think that all posts in the forums are going to be positive is a fantasy in itself.
On a final note here.... I get my gold VIP badge in a couple of weeks!

Steve...from the people I have talked to who are/high breeders. Breeding and Stable are way down. I know for me personally I cut breeding down to one or two a day to 4 or 5 in the last month. My stable is cut down to around 12-15 and used to be 30 or more. Maybe I am the lone ranger here, but I dont think I am. I would like to see the numbers though.

What amazes me is the mindset that my game participation and my buddy list
is the life stream of the game. How much have the newest players spent ? How
much have they bred ? How many have they kept ? Do they like the class system ?
I cannot be a watermark. I came into this game with a pre set plan. I knew how many
horses I can keep in order to play under a vip's budget. I will not breed replacements
until i am ready to retire the ones I currently have in play. Game changes dont effect me
unless I have no tourney to place my pigs in - and that has yet to be a problem.

Sasteve, you are not seeing the entire picture or fully understanding what Flyingdaaka is saying. Breeding as in how many horses are bred is down. That is obvious. You are clearly in the minority if you have bred more recently than ever. Refer to tyolds post. Many have cut down tremendously. There is not as much a need to breed for a monster. You no longer need a monster to race with the class system. Many keep the original horse bred now, whereas in the past, it would either be vetted or retired and a replacement would be seeked out in the shed immediately, until a decent horse was bred.
You tend to be hot and cold as far as your attitude and stable. You make a post like this, and then 2 weeks later, you will complain that it is too costly to keep a large stable and how you plan to cutdown dramatically.

I haven't bred a horse since 8/09/10 and dont plan to for 1-2 years. So if breeding aint down on that news then I also heard and seen many people cutting there stables or closing them since the blues appeared.
2 hours 48 min
the appearance of the blues is not the significant angle at all but it was the significant time .....the general tournaments are too expensive ....u request a tournament 7500 2 to 4 races and it comes back 4 races 5500 each ...whats that about ....bringing on a late peaker can break the stable budget now so the natural thing to do is to cut numbers to fit back into your budget ....we assume breeding is down but it may just be that good horses are not being bred so there are more immediate retirements
2 hours 23 min
I am not saying I am right. I just say that it would be intereating to hear from HRF how the business was affected byy the blues.
If the class system affected them so much I am sure they wouls have shut them down by now.
I am not hot and cold btw. I think prices are high period but nothings going to change that. But I run a big stable when I have the points too. when I need to downsize I will and do.
I understood what you say Daaka but personally feel you base your facts on a small amount of evidence ( as I also based my suggestion on a small amount of evidence). But just making a point that business may not be as bad as you make out.
Daaks you know we bothh have a mutual respect for each others achievments in the game but we still clearly have a different view on the class system and the blues.

From a newbie, I'm not quite sure what is wrong with the Blues. I can see where people sandbag to get a better position in the Reds but having the Blues would seemingly give a chance for people that just look at this as a game to place a horse into a competitive race. What fun would it be to race 8 105 BSRs against a 130 BSR whom would win every race by 20 lenghts.
Being new I am surely missing something but please help me understand this concept.
1 hour 51 min
That was exactly what was happening in general tournaments before. You would have a bunch of moderate SR horses as you mentioned entered in a 1k or 2k tournament, appropriately entered. The problem was you would get a Suncity or Ahijah taking a 130+ from a massive breeding spree, and entering it in that 1k or 2k tournament, inappropriately entered, but not against the rules. That is what led to the mess. The mess worsened when HRF began dishing out 130+ to newbies in an attempt to keep their business. The problem was they also began doing the same thing with them. Then it became a war, where everybody started entering low.
And here we stand today. As the dust has settled. Corpses left everywhere. Dreams of being able to conquer the 1k and 2k events crushed. Fascinating meltdowns from trainers.

It's still happening in the Generals now ,and also what helped kill the Instas. No one wants to admit it, but it's fact.
Like I've said repeatedly, if Scaramouche, the Bats, Empoy and others could enter any jockey tournament, no one else would play.
There's a class system in the Jockey and Bettor tournaments, it makes no sense to not have one in the trainer game.
The Blues take care of horses born under 124 BSR, to a limited extent.
But working on a real class system should be priority one! It should be viewed as the most important aspect of the trainer game. The foundation!
1 hour 51 min
You may be correct Vasdef. Flyingdaaka has found the blue 124 level to be the most competitive level in the game right now with the 7500 entry fee generals just a tad behind. Flyingdaaka is actually bypassing those levels with his horses, and entering 10k-15k general tournaments. The competition is lighter.
This is Flyingdaaka's whole point to what the game is. You people need to adapt to what is going on instead of complaining about it. The best spot for some of Flyingdaaka's mediocre horses currently are mid level general tournaments. So Flyingdaaka adapts from the norm, and enters them. Why not. The competition is lighter and there is a greater potential for more points.
Trying to get a clean trip in a blue 124 is like trying to hit a pick 6.

I would be willing to bet that that HRF likes it just the way it is... More horses are active in the game and that means they are making more off stable fees and tourney entries.. Infact they may be making more now since the breeding shed business has dropped off. That might be tough to argue though... I must admit that my breeding has slowed some but my stable has grown since they brought the Blues out. I've stumbled across some descent horses while breeding for certain Blue bracket horses. When the blues started I had 10 horses over 115 SR with only 4 of them over 125. Now I have 15 over 125 SR. So I have been retiring the blue racers because they are being crowded out by good general tourney horses.. I have yet to get a 130 but I've got some good solid horses.. I can't complain about the breeding shed at all.

Great to here that Cali, you can do well with good 125-129s, I've only had 3 horses over 130. I'm nowhere near the top, but I've won my share of decent tourneys.
And Daaka, I do adapt to the game, I'm still winning tourneys.
I've never complained about weights, or the shed or anything really, except lowballing.(my pet peeve).
Which is why when Puddles announced the class system I was all "giddy". I love the concept of the Blues, just kind of disappointed they're limited in Distance,Surface and Condition.
It seems that everyone is once again going low in the Generals, so that too is disappointing. Basically the fees went up, that's all, nothing else really changed, as far as class, in the Generals. The minimum participants got lowered in order to get more tourneys running, but
now the purses are all about the same, with a few exceptions.
When the Instas first came out, I entered a lot of horses, that would be
considered Blue. They got killed for the most part, no matter the price of the claim. I didn't complain, I just stopped playing Instas.
Apparently so did alot of players.
So my aim is not to complain, but to explain, point things out.
Maybe that's the problem, people expressing their point of view are just blown off as crybabies, whiners.
In the meantime, the people who view suggestions as complaints, are left scratching their heads wondering why tournament participation is
weak.
I hope the Blues don't go the way of the Insta, I hope everything works out and I am proven wrong. For the sake of the game, this is my wish.
But let's be honest and frank here, I am Vasdef.
I haven't been wrong in decades. LMAO!
2 days 3 hours
Vasdef and daaka, I think your reasoning is right on with most of your thoughts and comments. I was trying to figure out where to place some of my horses in order to enter them in the instas but quickly found out that instas 12k, 20k and 40k all seemed to have mix mashed SRs. Normally if you run a horse in a 5k claiming race and he wins by 10 he will be claimed the next time in that class. The trainer will jump the horse to a 10k or 15k race where his speed can be more appropriately utilized. Why does that not happen here? I hope they don't drop the Blues but I wish they would expand them so the lower class horses will be able to compete.
