I requested (for the 2nd time) and had approved (for the 2nd time) a slop marathon (Faith Needed) for 3 year olds. Got the necessary yes votes, but tourney was written for 3 and 4 year olds !!! WHY ??? This also happened for the Keep Going Fella tourney, which was requested and approved for 3 year olds, yet published for 3 year olds and up. .
We're encouraged to request tourneys for our horses, and HRF will publish them if approved by the community, but why does HRF change the requested AND approved ( by the community ) conditions ?
Now I'll have to submit yet another request for my desired tourney, and have no way of knowing if it will be written as requested and approved.

alone on this..Requested a 3yo yeilding turf tourney, approved yet published for 3year olds and up. The actual tourney became an older horse benefit and also destroyed the 3yo and peak season of the best horse in my stable. I also had a 2yo slop tourney approved 11-1 yet it was arbitrarily denied by HRF for no reason and was never published. So I don't bother requesting tourneys now, I look for suitable tourneys to vote on and don't run until a suitable tourney is published. If no suitable tourney is published or scheduled in the next 30day period before the stable bill is due I retire the horse. Times are tough right now so this is a rule I have had to implement not one I wanted to. Stable is down to 6 and it looks likely that 3 more will be retired this month.
They are not up to open tourney class $7.5k and over being low sr's and hard dirt and turf are the most unsuitable surfaces so Blues are also out. In saying that I have experimented running two good slop horses in a blue this month and they are both in the final so I will reserve making judgment until after the final. It does however question the relevance of training when all the indications are that certain surfaces are totally unsuitable yet the horse then turns around and wins a blue prelim on its worse surface! Makes all my spreadsheets a bit redundant.

They probably increase the age limitations to help make sure the tournament fills. Not a bad idea, if you ask Flyingdaaka. Ric, Flyingdaaka has a 3 year old horse entered in this tournament you created. Flyingdaaka is not in the least, intimidated by the tournament being open to 4 year olds. Get your horse in there before that fear completely rots your heart out. Don't be afraid of a little competition.
Emerson, Flyingdaaka thinks he can help Ric, but you are beyond anything Flyingdaaka can offer to help.

your signature says you can deal with our types or is that just bulldust too like everything else you post; and heaven help Ric if he ever sought your assistance, a bit like asking Pablo Escobar to manage your vegetable garden.

they also need as has been mentioned before the ability to pick season I have requested a trny that based on peak age I need a certian season for and a season I will accept but if its the other season (which it probably will be) I probably will not enter my own requested trny because I am not sure he will be good enough at that age/season. And in Rics case why tweak a trny from what was requested if you think its to get more horses, and how does that work when the requester and perhaps some voters do not enter because it was tweaked from what they voted on???
