One thing tho, What does Vas class as a correctly placed horse? I have a 126 I entered at about 4k won the tournament entered big and flopped enterd 6k flopped I have now entered 3k and will make the final. Seems to me that placing is a lottery almost as confusing as breeding.
Oh for the blues to help classify my horses.

I only think there are 10-15 big stables on here. Any stable with 20+ general tourney wins to me is a big stable and knows all there is to know about this game and how to win tourneys and where you place your horses.

Is one with 100 wins classed a big stable?

ahijah is that trainer what has like 3,000 horses in his stable?
Most races I enter hes got like 10 - 15 horses in the same tournament?

Or puts 15 horses in a 25k buy in tournament with a max field of 20 and fills a tournament up so no one eles can enter and when the tournament starts pulls 10 horses out (well spend points)

I talked to him once , He told me he put me down on his list of trainers he wants to beat haha? I must be special he named a horse after me haha? and ronwar too.

It doesn't matter who it is, they themselves know who they are.
Just go to some stables, look at the 30K win and check out the competition.

If they won by a few lenghts, that's no big deal.They correctly entered a low SR horse in with other low SR horses.
But if their horse ran a 130 and the rest of the field ran 90-100 , then that's pathetic and the reason Puddles wants the Max weight used in some of these situations.

I'm not crying about it because I don't win. Frankly, I'll take 3rd and 150k pts. over 1st and 30k pts.
I'm just PO'd, because in order to fix trainers like this, every tournament is under handicap weights.

Suncity did a good job handicapping the final with LO and Slazenger.
But what if a handicapper saw it different and Maxed out those two horses and gave a few the lowest weight possible. And neither LO or Slazenger won. Is that right?
I'm just using that race as an example, I'm sure max weight probably wouldn't affect those two that much. They're the very best, but they're are very few horses like them.

Only about 3 inch`s , I think it was watching the storm down the coast a bit so the hair stood up.

Vas the lord outstanding finial , Was a very hard race to handicap and is a race that everyone will be interested in , and will be watching the finial. This could be one of the top 10 finials of all time. The first really major major tournament between too of the very best horses in the game.

Some people may even use this race as a guild of how the handicapping system is going , some people may , are a few knockers , infighting between handicappers etc etc etc. We will see on the day who wins. I no this is going to be my last raced as a handicapper as I am the first to get retired/axe ,

Any handicapper on the day could have given 1lb here or there on the top 2 horses..

xray has one horse, Wells Fargo, he's a small stable with a big horse.
Somebody else may have 30 horses all under 120 SR.
Big stable, small horses. And I'm not talking about xray, he's done well with Wells.

What I'm talking about is sticking a 125+ horse in a low fee tournament where every other trainer is a newb with a crappy horse. I understand that not all high SR horses kick butt, but then it wouldn't run a 130 if it was crap, so I'm not talking about all high SR horses.
And again, put your horse in any tourney you like, but if you're winning a bunch like this, you deserve no kudos.

Well that doesn't work either I put a 132.8 in a high tourney and best I could do is 5th twice out of 5 races. The Sr my horse posted was a 107.20 and low of 92.70. Well that was a waste of 35,000pts and a month.

I didn't go to that trainer's stable page, I just noticed he had some horses on the Quarterly Awards.

How about a weekly ( Hall Of Shame ), given to the biggest crook of the week, and Puddles can deduct 10,000 points from his account for recieving such a high honor. Give him a badge as well. Make it a color like say Brown.

One of my 140+ horses run like it has 3 legs , one one win in 20 starts.
I have 2 130+ horses i put in claimers cause they were the same.
1x 130sr horse what could not win a race at rest level at 110 and got retired.
I had 2x 125sr horses in claimers yesterday and today cause they could not win a race at low level.

I understand your point vas , It would not be fare to put a good running 125+ horse in a low buy in tournament.

Where have you placed your lowest sr horse what tournament so I can put one of my good 140+ in the same tournament lol?

You are kind, and I am grateful for your recognition. I think I know of whom you speak as I checked his stable record after reading him put down another trainer for his record not comparing to his own.
I feel if I have a fast horse, I want to race him at the proper class. If you do well, move up! It's not about looking good with lots of badges. It's more about doing the best you can. Besides you'll never get quarterlies entering small tournys. save those for your 110's horses, and if you do win, it means something...

I have 56 horses, with no 140's. Had one, but he now works in the French Quarter pulling carriages, where his speed is more suitable.

Not who I thought then. Must be more than 1 stable likes the small fish...

What are you saying? Davo is winning races not tourneys. Get that straight. He has done alot of things with the horses he has been dealt. He hasn't been lucky like most people breeding 130's+ all the time.

You win where you can win Suncity. I took my 132 up to the top and got my ass kicked. So what am I suppose to do? I go lower next tourney. Suncity say you only have 120's, then knowing I am getting my ass kicked with 130's why even enter these tourneys with a 120's, it would be pointless. So you have to start low tourneys and work your way up to better ones. Most everybody has 130's or more in there stables except for a few people. Everybody has to find there range where they can win. I play the top, middle, and low tourneys.

It's not just one trainer, it's several.
Like I said, they can enter their horses wherever they choose ,there's no rule against it.
But they need to know they're the biggest reason for the handicap weights.

And Congrats to Headie on another big win. Running and winning with the Big Boys, that deserves Kudos.

No kudus for Flyingdaaka even though he a slightly lower sr than Reds horse and I assume the smallest in that final. No Kudus for Stop the Clock sr111 who lost to Ruffian15 monster horse in the final. I finished 3rd with my little sr111 in a big tourney.

just to set the record right 90% of my stable is 125+..i just dont have any monsters over the 130 marker.... and the 130 i cliamed is a donkey i need to make fly because it has a problem with runing fast...
My stable of horses now would have been UNBEATABLE 3 months ago but times have changed... ordinary ability must race lower..its the way the game is now...... race to high and 0 returns is not what we are here for...
so what im saying is similar to others here.. if you have nice quality race high.... but if the quality is just average then we must stay low to achieve sucess... once the horse says (im here to race) then is time to step back up to higher level...

i'll be honest here i throw anything im not to keen on into 2k 3k first up..even 128 if i think abilty is just not there... i have won a few doing this BUT i have had more losses then wins to..ahahahhahaaha so it works both ways now...

Vasdef if you didn't get all that good advice and was told who to breed you would still be in toilet playing in the shit. So dont start thinking your high and mightly because you bred some great horses and now you can enter high paying tourneys. Some people cant breed quality horse and enter high paying tourneys. I paid good money to breed all of those horses and only have 2 over 130 and those 2 ain't crap.
I've paid my dues like everybody else and if you can win racing low SR horses then more power to ya.

I didn't see where Flyingdaaka had won, you've done great with that horse. But if you want to tell me that you can't judge roughly how good a horse you have by training it. Then you're full of it.

I haven't dumped on anyone, didn't name any names unless it was to praise them.And how am I being high and mighty ? My record sucks, but I do OK in the big tournaments.

Like I said, I'm pissed because these low ballers are largely to blame
for the handicap weights. And I don't

You need to go check my horses and their birth dates and see who is copying who, before you assume anything.

You have to win where you can win. Also I want to add that my horse trained in the 120's and ran crappy in that tourney I discussed. So they dont allways run like they do in training. I knew Flyingdaaka was a special horse before he was. But most horses you cant tell what your getting. I had a 126 run 90's in a turf sprint tourney. I had a 125.8 run a 90 at 5.5F and die 4F into the race. If you have alot of bad luck in big tourneys and have only 120's how can you compete if you dont go low? Vasdef look at the alert board everyday. Theres alot of 130's being handed out, so after months seeing that somebody with 120's might be out classed in all tourneys.

I wish you did name the names then it would clear this thread up. Whats the point to start a thread and not mention names. This would might have avoided me having to type this, because I believe you know what I'm saying about class and stables with no classy horses in them.

My stable avg SR is 125, ok.
Half of my stable ain't crap, ok more like 80% ain't crap.
When I train them against the community horses or their stable mates, I can tell right away if the horse is Top notch or not.

But the ones who are not,aren't going to wind up racing against a bunch of newbs. Like I said earlier, there are plenty of legitimate reasons for a big stable to enter low.
What I'm talking about is consistently racing low, just to get the easy wins.

somthing you may be missing to is 90% of newbies get a 128+...i can prove this simply from my last 4 students having higher sr's then me LMAOOOOOO....infact 1 of my students "jdub1961" is now consistantly following me and beating me.... need to have a quiet word with him about this..LOL LOL...

anyways what your saing is right.. if you win easily in low cost then go higher next time... the problem i see is happeing to me right now with 2 horses 128 in same tourny...

oh behaveeee 128..very nice horse in advance.. undefeated first up winning 3k entry event... now in higher class has run near last in 2 prelims so far.... im sure the combination is right so im scratching my head... do i go another high or do i need to drop back to 3k again in order to recieve pionts back??? i will test in adavnce again but if my thinking is right then although the birth sr is 128+ i feel the ability for this horse to stay consistant is around 3k entry...

my other is "hold on tight" 129.9...... now this thing is anoying me low and high i just cant make the thing win or place so another might need to stay low in order to get even 1point back...

I must be very honest... a high % of these horses being bred are pigs really.. you have a better chance of earning points by chatting in forum!!!...

SO vasdef i agree with what your actually saying..the problem is some of these horses just will not perform in higher purse due to no courage or very bad consistancy.... horses now are rubbish compared to what i bred back in december.....120 back in december= 140 now in quality....

current bred of horses.... courage crappy so in 10k entry it throws up the white flag... in 2k 3k entry it thinks its superman and runs like the wind...
unfortunately if thats the way our new bred of horses are going to be then most trianers new and old will have no chioces but race lower..

I know that isn't my stable. Racodo, nice race last night in the Edgar Prado Ungraded Stakes (Music Please). Smart Indian put on a remarkable race and I was surprised that Starlight Sea got 4th. It was nice to see her finally hit the board. My Ash Biscuit probably would have been there too, if it wasn't for traffic. That pushes my earnings to $4 million. Moving up in the game.

Flyingdaaka enters low because that is where his low SR horses belong. However, Vasdef, Flyingdaaka always welcomes and is happy to compete against the larger stables, when they enter their horses in a low tournament. However, these large stables generally are entering their slob horses in these tournaments.
However, there are a handful of trainers, as you said, that take their best horses and enter them in low fee tournaments, you are correct about that, and that is the only time Flyingdaaka objects to their presence. The new weight system isn't stopping them. Neither is HRF. So expect it to continue.

this is a very interesting thread . my view is all the horses cost the same amount and sometimes you just gotta feel for the spot where the horse belongs . every now and then ur gonna get that horse that u feel is special and u may splash out 25000 points to start with but as i have experienced that may just add to the cost of the horse if he isnt ready to rock and roll in his first tourney .another factor i didnt see discussed is the tournaments that are available when the horse is bred. once i breed a horse i like to press into action as soon as possible for a first tourney surface and distance and two or three races is all i am about .last race of the two yr old career or early in the three we can go upstairs as i call, it if the horse shows promise . i really dont think its fair to impose on whatever system a player employs quite frankly if ur sending ur monsters in small tourneys thats really nice for me because thats not lucrative and it gives me a chance when i send my donkeys to the horse races....i have had a few really terrible horses with good sr .....so y not try them low if they fail where u entered them first ...oh almost forgot kudos to ahijah i am backing him to sort through those 120 horses he has a really good one called mr barbados u guys wont run close to that one soon .....he is looking for a lord outstanding and he may very well succeed the way he breeds em like rabbits ...
