initially, I posted I didn't want the trainer name posted, but being that I bred one of those numbers yesterday I change my mind. I don't think its a big deal if my name was up there and other trainers went to my stable to try to figure out what I bred. 10/10 times, if the PMed me, I would tell them anyway.
Wow you breed one of those Ron? I Know there are several players that think we are just posting numbers (LOL) . This is to prove everyday good horses are breed .
Just a thought, but what about putting the total number of horses bred that day as well. Lets say 20 horses are bred one day with the top three sr's being 121,119,114. Then the next day 80 horses are bred with the top three being 132,130,129. It would just be a little more information that a trainer could use in determining if it's a good time to breed.
Good idea Raco, I was thinking the same thing. When I came back this morning to post about it, yours was the last post up there...lol.
Seriously, I would also like to see the total number of horses bred for each day with the top 3.

You too huh Dave?
One more than three instances I have bred the hot pair and always come up very short to what others are breeding.
In about half of those times my breeds have been in the 111's when others were getting 130's.
To boot,it seems that some stables are more propense to getting the higher ones somehow.
I have one medium high, and all the rest are 121 to 111.
No 130's over here.

I think kindur said something bout keys being assigned to your stable when you join or something of that nature.
It is nice to know that the numbers are improving, but not knowing the pairs does not help anyone! The thing is, even if everyone knows, the hot pairs ARE NOT going to spit out 130' one after another! People should not be so disilussioned. It is hard to catch that speeding train at just the right time. This will surely lead to more horses bred, which is good for HRF, and ultimately, everyone here. The only problem I have with this is: Just say that now, instead of there being two 135's out there, maybe now there can be 30, along with maybe 30 horses in the 125 area. That can either really widen the gap between classes, or make things even more equal. If you have four horses in an eight horse race that are 115's, with the rest being 100's, in theory, it will be a four horse race. If everyone gets a 130, things become relevant. All of the horses with that speed will battle as closely as a group of 100's-just with faster times. Could this not "water down" the game? Now, instead of a bunch of average horses, there may be a ton of borderline super-horses! This just gives you a bunch of really fast losers. Hopefully they are not as easy to come by as it appears.
Beefy
PS- I still think printing the pair would not be a bad idea. I don't know. If all of this continues, HRF WILL need a class system, otherwise, people will leave. I hate to keep coming back to this, but, in order to keep things competitive, this will have to happen. I would still like my 110's to be able to have a CHANCE at winning. Even if they are grade 3 horses, they will be running amongst themselves. The prize money can still be good, just because there should be far more of the mid-class horses running around the stables, looking for a place to run. Should we start a voting page for the Class Systems? HRF, Puddles, I know you guys read these posts, and I'm sure you can't disagree that this could help this game tremendously.
It is nice to see that badge there but it doesn't help me when I go to breed horses. Well, I just bred a 117 which made me happy because I ran him in practice races and he has a win, second, and a third. His first race was on the slop and he won that race with a sr of 137. Looks like I have another good one here but I won't be able to tell until I put him in tourneys.
I think what is important here is to remember that nothing has changed. There were probably days last week and all the weeks before that where three or more 130+ were bred. We just didn't know about it then.
I am against the idea of showing the sire and dam. If they go that far, they might as well also post a banner on the front page showing who is hot this week, and who it rotates to next.
A few monsters bred on the 13th 138 and a couple of 133`s...
I do think that badge should be removed.
When the badge was not there you at least you think you have a chance... But when you see monsters bred every day..
It makes you think which 100k point comp will they end up in....

It is basically a difficult pill for you people to swallow. However, fact is, more and more horses 130 SR and above are entering the game... ready to destroy all your horses. Many of you have bred until you are blue in the face, but all it takes is one lucky stiff to scratch off that SR 135. Remember, you can't get that SR 135 unless you breed, so suncity and all you others, get to it !!!! If your horses aren't coming back with a SR 135, there's always that vet option, one more chance at glory !!!!!
there seems to be a theory that every time you guys get beaten in a tournament the winner was a 120 plus sr ......this may help satisfy you as a trainer but i assure u that it is not the whole truth.....i have a couple 120 sr horses that have won tournaments but i have also won with a 109 horse my first two wins were with a 118 broken down 6f turf sprinter that was almost always slowly away from the gates ....i got the rid of her shortly after because i found a better turf sprinter with better break speed...i wanna appeal to u guys and ask have u really thoroughly examined that 110 to 118 horse?...do u know all u need to know? ...have u been patient and selected the right tournament and the right races to reach the finals?...are ur expectations realistic for the horse? ...meaning are u going for the win or to catch a piece of the points? In this game they are some horses that exceed the average speed rating when u find the right distance and surface and horses in the teens are beating horses in the 120s more often than is thought....
What Blair and Daaka state is very true.
The Trainer game is about training, not breeding.
But if you can afford throw away money on breeding, like me,Suncity,Brianshaw,et al,I don't see a problem with it.
It's the players that can not afford heavy breeding that have the problem.
That Alert Badge does not phase me in the least.
I was breeding heavy before it was there, and will continue to breed heavy as long as this game exists,
It's my prerogative, my money and my business!
I will still Luv you guys just the same!
And will continue to put good horses(110-119SR) in the Instas, because of my excessive breeding habits.
Excessive Breeding is a disease, not a character flaw. LOL
Here is my 2 cents worth. I am not slamming anyone, just giving my opinion of what I percieve from my observations. I have experienced both, and both will continue to happen. I don't like the one any better than anyone else does. But I deal with it. Sometimes, not as well as other times, but I deal with it. HRF is going to lose some people, and others are going to stay. There is no way that HRF is going to please everyone. But really, they try, they just have to do it a way that they think is best for the business.
I have a medium sized stable. It happens to the bigger stables as well, it is just that it doesn't make as much difference for them. I can see the little guys wanting to enjoy the game as much as the big stables. And there are a lot out there that do. Most of the horses are not 120's, that some I know are complaining about, it is the 130's. My 120's are pretty much donkeys anyway. My 102 and 105 Mini monsters, as I call them clean my 120's off the track. Most of 120's, "Do not like to be surrounded by other horses." When I get that comment in a PR, I believe it, the horse will drop back to last every time, if it is not on the outside or has a HUGE hole up the rail, not likely, hopefully it will be a closer. But most of mine are not. It has no chance against horses with higher SR's. I know this, so I enter in the higher cost tourneys, because they have less entries. I do better with them there.
But the thing is there are so many other variants. Horses preference, track variant, weights, everything is different each time. Like some, I am pleased with results, or I walk away thinking, what was that? I have found you have to pay attention to SOME of the PR's, and you have to train, train, train. That is one of the only things I disagree on, for me personally anyway. I can't train in 10 minutes. It takes me hours for each horse, when something doesn't work, I have to go back and do it again. But there are no shades of gray for me, I have to have things in black and white.
As for the posting of the high SR's for the day. Mike said they are going to stay, and stay they will. HRF is a business, it has to make money through promotion. That SR banner is simply promotion. It sells more horses. At least it gets me...lol. But like Vasdef and some others, I breed horses quite a bit anyway. Not as much as some though.....lol.
It's good to see these speed ratings posted. I personally, since I've joined the game over 6 and a half months ago, have not bred a horse in the 130's. You guys and gals who are breeding those types of speed ratings... Good for you and best of luck with them.
I went on a breeding frenzy in January. 121 was the best I bred. Frustration started setting in. I've been downsizing my stable. Keeping some horses that over achieve and a few others that I've had some luck with. As much as I enjoy this game, I've had to adopt a different strategy in order to continue to enjoy it. I've taken a break from the breeding part of the game for now.
I guess the only downside for me about seeing the speed ratings posted is I have nothing in my barn that can compete with these newly bred youngsters. LOL! Back to the drawing board...
Breeding is way more expensive than claiming. Period. Recently I spent 142000 on 5 horses and got 1 ok runner. Claimed 2 horses for 35000 and got 2 runners.
I keep seeing where members are saying they can't compete with the new high SRs. First off they are not in every race and every high SR is not a good horse and a lot of good horses are retired because of low SR. Everybody does not drive a Bentley but most people still drive enjoy the races and win when you can and enjoy the trip.... Stan
Just an FYI. I have one of the 130 horses on todays breeding badge and it is not as good as its rating. I have only been able to get it to run 123 2 times. The rest 110 or (way) below. I have also been lucky to have many really good horses of late that are not 130 SR's. I have a 101 SR that will run in a NON restricted tourney finals this week. Now if I could stop finishing second and win a few more races.
On the day ( very recently ) one of my 5 year olds broke his maiden on his 30 th. trip, I said to my wife, before the race, I'm considering retiring him. I didn't. And thank God.
Now where do I place him next??? Well, I entered him with a group of the best horses ( mostly all millionaires ). Stupid, Doug you say,
Not really. He was placed in this torunament only because it looked like it wasn't gong to fill and I didn't want my very best horse, Royal Danish to get canceled out again. It was shaping up that way and in the final hours, I made the decision to run my other horse as an entry mate.
What's he done so far. Well, one Grade 1 win and one Grade 1 , close up, third place finish behind two of the top five (top 100 list) horses in the game. I won't mention his birth rating, but he's nowhere near a 130 rated horses. His rating is lower.
I hope this encourages others to never give up hope.
Who is this guy, you ask? He goes by the name, Lord Tweedmouth. Watch for him and Royal Danish again tonight as they go against some of the best horses in our game. Lord Tweedmouth likes it on the front end, while, Royal Danish prefers to stalk.
I recently bred my highest rated horse, a 125. She is the best horse in my yard judging by runs in advanced mode, but i'll have to see after her first tourny. Before I had this horse, the best in my barn for winning races was 'Obsession' (under 110). She would beat everything else I had. 3 tournies entered to date, made the final in the first 2, didn't get a run in the first final, won the second. She's won her first race in the tourny she's in now and a place in the final looks certain.
Bottom line is you CAN win tournies with lower rated horses if they are placed with conditions in there favour.
I have made quite a few finals in the 80 runs that I have had, all with lower rated horses. I believe I could have won more finals with these horses if I got the training right. (started making notes now)
I would like to get 130+ horse, but if I bred 5 low rated horses and they ran as well as Obsession does I would be more than happy.
That's great news and good luck in your tournament! I haven't given up hope here. During my purge of the stable I got rid of a 125, 123, 122, and a pair of 117's. I kept a 101. She out performs some of my better horses.
My problem has been the game controlling me instead of me controlling the game. I was highly addicted to it in the first 5 1/2 months. The amount of money you spend on the game will bring you back to reality quickly. I've lowered my expectations, but my desire to compete with HRF's best is still there.
Tis not possible.
In my barn my 138 always beats my 137 who always beats my 136.
I recently tried a 78 against a 140 to see if a lower could beat a higher and proved it was impossible cause the 140 won.
When I spoke to the 140 he told me that he had 98 sr's in his behind so it was no problem.
Yeah,I'm a horse whisperer and while I whisper I can hear them talk back.
I like my horses to breed the trainer.
God,that sounded ugly.
Anyway,I have no idea what I'm talking about, sorry for the parenthesis.
But-wait-something I can add is....in my last visit to the stable I spoke with one of my horses who gave me a recent win.
He told me he didn't like to be surrounded by other horses but he had heard me say that I would retire him if he lost and that's why he won.
It's the soundofrum dynamic at full force here.
A mental projection of things to come.As they already are.
I never prioritize a 140 over a 105.
That's why my horse average is 103.5
Bingo sound!..... Less entries, more chance of better finish.
It may have taken me a while to figure it out though. Almost 6 weeks, I am a slow learner, when it is staring me right in the face...lol. Been entering that way for a while now.
I think with this alert badge... As some people have said before some people are going to like it and other people are not going to like it...
There is all ways going to be a + side and - side..
Every now and then I do like to bred a couple of horse`s and I must say I got my fair share of good horse`s and will still bred hard from time to time...
The + side of the badge being a big breder is yeah it is good to know that there are some good horse`s bred...
The - side of the badge The smaller stables , for example a couple of my students who are spending millions and millions and only getting the odd 120 horse look at it and get a bit up set...
There is all so a + side and a _ side to getting a 130+ horse or a 140+ horse. The + side is a good horse what has an older peak age and runs higher then its sr , placed in the right comps will win a few of them... Can be a couple of - as well to them having a high 130+ horse with a low peak age of 3.5 , or has to fight , or over races and use`s it`s energy o fast and...
I have had a couple of 130+ horse`s what may end up in insta comps coming up as I have tested them over 150 times in practice and and 110 sr horse can beat them any time on every ground every dist..
Hard to get a 130+ horse , but when you get it , you want it o be a good one , I will settle all day with low 120 horse`s what have all the fight in the world with older peak age....
Work hard ,Play hard, Bet hard , Drink hard , or go home
I cannot afford to breed so I just ignore the badge except to say wow they are breeding well today.
It makes no odds to me that it is there. But for those who need it I hope it helps you.
Oh and Billy You meant 104 not 140 lol
Over the past couple of days, I have been trying to get a good one but everytime i do, I get a horse around 100. I dont know what you guys are doing but I would like to know because I would like to have a 130 horse in my barn..
Sharon you showing to much love to your horses.
If a horse runs too slow for these guys they pull out a gun not a whip!
PS I would like one too.
Please slip one into a 10k insta PLEEEEEEEEEEAZE!
No Steve I meant one of the 140's I've had.
Too many too count.
And this one,Fight Of Thunder it was called, couldn't beat my lowest,a sad 78 called Dismal.
After that,I stayed with any horse I bred and forgot all about numbers, even those on my credit card.
Indifferent to all numerical figures except those that stare me in the eye,my horse sr average which is 103.5.
Steve,
It isn't love that I am showing. I got a 112 from breeding Seabiscuit and Affectionately. I do have some good horses in my stable so I shouldn't be complaining but it would be nice to a get a really good one. I ran some of my recent new horses in a race today and my new one, Angel Forever, beat the pants off of Fagers Dream Girl and that is usually hard to do since she usually beats everybody else.

JMO, peace.....

If the breeding alert is bad for some to see, may I suggest that you don't watch commercials. lol

Train, train, then train some more!

Looking for good horse not just a good SR. Was chasing that high SR at first, until I saw the results start accumilating.

I cannot afford to breed so I just ignore the badge except to say wow they are breeding well today.
It makes no odds to me that it is there. But for those who need it I hope it helps you.
Oh and Billy You meant 104 not 140 lol
