Hi The truth is you did not break the track record you tied it . The bonus points should have never been paid out but consider them a bonus anyway from us .
Your horse looked great winning and I see you won 330,000 points for the event but the the 300,000 bonus was a free gift from us . So total 630,000 community points was a very nice pay out . I think this horse will be a big earner for you
Once again congrats he is a great horse for sure !!!!!!!!!!
I suppose it comes down to how it's written. The rules covering this. I think it should be written so that you do get that big bonus if your horse wins and establishes a new track record. But, if you tie the record, you don't get that bonus. If you want to honor the tie, then give a bonus. Perhaps half the amount. Else no bonus whatsoever unless you set a new record, by breakinng the old record.
This is just my opinion and is not meant to take anything away from that big win and that very fast six furlong time. That in itself is quite and accomplishment and my hats off to trainer and horse. You've got yourself a good one. Congratulations.
In ending, I think that HRF administration has to word the rules on these bonuses in a manner that there could be no mistake.
I'll go along with the crowd, but I feel that from now on, one has to break and establish a new track record to recieve the bonus that's out there now.
In case the rules didn't explain this thoroughly, I think it was the right thing to do for, Puddles to give the bonus for the tie. I would have done the same. Again, it comes down to the wording. Where do we stand now on this???? Will the tie suffice??? Whatever the outcome, I'm not suggesting taking the bonus money back. I'm not saying that at all. That's a done deal.

If your going to pay out for a tie, maybe you should pay out for a nn breaking a record?
