I actually meant this topic as a joke. Now I see he is actually in the game... LOL.
I would never have thought in a million years he would be in there.
Well done, Horseracegame folks!
So for those of you that have it, how does he run? If you choose to ride him, do you just see the rest of the field as a vague cloud of dust in the distance?
He got dusted at 99:1 against 3YO Males of 2008 in a 6F sprint on dirt. Needless to say he saw all the hooves and lost by about 40 lengths. It was torture riding him. I had no chance...LOL
I know this is mean, but I just ran a match race, Curlin against the Zipster. 1 1/4 miles at CD.
Curlin won by 83 lengths.
My new goal-- I don't care anymore how many tournaments I win or don't win in this game... I don't care how many points per race I score. My new goal is to win one single race riding Zippy Chippy.
The last time I rode him it was in a 6f race. His effort bar was one notch under max and he was falling way behind. I could barely see the leaders at the end.
Controlled by the computer, he just lost by 107 lengths in a 1 1/4 mile race against random horses.
Now one possibility might be-- I will have to look and see what is the shortest race we can set up in this game. Then, have the Zipster carry maybe 110 pounds, and load everyone else up with 140 or so.
I think in Andy Beyer's speed figure system, the slowest a horse can be assigned is 0; you simply cannot go any slower. Well, when I run Zippy in the game, he ends up with figures like -41 and -30.
""Say you have three children," Felix said, "One is a lawyer, doing well. The other a doctor, very, very successful. But the third one, not so smart, so he's working at McDonald's. What do you do? Ignore him? Course not. He's the one who needs your help. That's Zippy."
Zippy Chippy's lifetime record is: 100 starts = 0-8-12. He actually earned a surprising $30,834."
Ok I managed to ride him to victory in a 2 furlong race. I set his weight slider down to minimum, 95 pounds, and set the other horses up to the max, 150. I selected horses from "Additional 3-up 2000-2004" and picked only ones who were "ok" on the 'LIKES TRACK?' column.
He managed to win by a nose, carrying 55 pounds less that his rivals.
I managed to get him to win again, under totally absurd conditions: 6 furlongs, running him against all two-year olds. I had the Zipster carry 105, the two-year-olds all carried 112. He actually won that by several lengths, in 1:13 4/5. With a Speed Figure of 52.
Also-- if you guys want to see the Zipster in action, here he is:

sadly I dont think he is in there yet ;)
That is a crime =)~

May they all come home safely!!!
I just want to see what it looks like. I imagine if you ride him you see nothing but a vague cloud of dust about a quarter mile ahead.
But I love an Underdog =)

LOL...That's pretty funny. What the heck, I'm going to see if I can figure out a scenario where zippy wins too. But man, this going to be tough.

What are Zippy Chippy's Speed and Stamina ratings?
Speed- good, Stamina- poor

He breaks the logic of the speed figure system.
Oh-- read this... it's a scream: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zippy_Chippy

now that is funny. Congrats on being the first to ever ride Zippy to a win
That's great. I can't believe he's actually in one of these files.
I know, I was shocked, too.

That's hillarious. That's one of the things I love about this game. The possiblities are endless.
