This Game is Free , your earn your points buy being a jockey , you can also do some Free points offers , but lets face facts, you have only been here a couple of days and have a lot of learning to do , this is the main reason its free , once you learn about how it all works then its upto you to what what level you play the game . Give it time and dont be so quick to judge .
There is plenty of help via the forums or you can be a student and you will get bonus points aswell .

The point offers require you subscribe to something in order to get points so it's not free.
Also,the mentorship is very few points as well that don't give you much of a heads up to get to the better features of the game.
I am under disability,plus the current state of financial affairs don't allow many people to dish out $10 a month to access all of the features the game offers.
This is why I've chosen not to pick a mentor and simply play the jockey game for free.
I was going to breed my first horse yesterday until I found out about the monthly fees,which would entrap me into paying for the game.
So no,I think the software is only a lure towards getting me to pay.

I managed to breed my first 3 horses on free points. I have been playing the game for months and only just subscribed as VIP. The game is AWESOME! You can have a great time on this game for free. I only became a VIP to improve my stable.

You must've administered your points very well cause mine just don't add up because the ones I earn through jockeying are much more than the ones shown on my account.
And God forbid I play the betting game cause I'd probably be wiped out in a hurry.lol
The instructions are scattered all over the place,I would've preferred a step-by-step guide on how to play the darned thing,but all I've seen so far in a sloppy interface with info scattered and written in morse code.
No wonder they need mentors!lol

It's also ironic how the banner which leads to the supposed free points says "free"....lol
People are gullible and will believe anything,but the game has much more spam than anything else.

If it weren't so-then I would be told how to get the supposed free points to go on to larger sections of the game.
As it stands,all I see around here is a promising game with too many lures into spending and no availability towards anything truly free.
Not stating a position on any matters is what leads to towards indifference and this in turns leads to monopolies by the powers that be in control of whatever that may be.
If by stating my opinion or questions I am shown the door,it just proves how intolerant a dissenting opinion is nowadays,but you'll suffer from it as well whenever you need to express your own.

I would highly reccomend getting a mentor, these are individual people who are here to help with the game, and simply help explain the many features of this very complex game, no pressure to become a VIP whatsoever. Sign up to be a student, and earn 5,000 points right away. There is also a get help section with lots of basic info on the game both in written text, and in many cases video help here is a link. http://www.horseracegame.com/community/game_and_community_info To say the game is not free is simply not true, you can do anything you want for free here...will it take you a little time to get some points...sure. To pass judgement after 2 days is really not fair, as I said before the game is complex, and multidimensional. Right now you can earn 1,000 points a day from jockeying horses in quick start mode. You have full access to challenge buddy, and can complete free point offers (there are a few Non-Spam good ones). Also try and keep in mind this is a business, and most people don't go into business to lose money. Paying customers are sure to get more benefits, without them there wouldn't be a game. P.M. Billyboy, the game is free for flyingdaaka. Flyingdaaka enjoys running races both in the community forum as well as under private account, where Flyingdaaka can create his own tournaments and races. Flyingdaaka has been a member for some time, and has not ever forked over one single penny.
Flyingdaaka is not criticizing the establishments offer to enter stables, community tournaments, etc. however, by taking the free approach, the game can be enjoyed tremendously. Under private account, one can select any race type with any horses, run the race as spectator or jockey, even can create a derby or tournament.

I have joined this game about a year and still learning new features everyday until now..spend a lot of money but still not get perfect achievement from my stable..nevermind :)
What I've learned, the first thing we need is be patient and no regret because this game most exactly just for fun. What you will get here...nothing !! except enjoying the game and add new friends..

You can't get it here..everyone just to maintain their reputation as a good trainer, earned some community point, other else jockey tourneys, bettor tourneys. challenge buddy. Bily i am new here... only 2 weeks.. i have not spent $1 and my first big race day is next week.. did you get your free horse? hope its better then mine LMAO..
but anyway the game is free my friend.. you only need to spend cash if you dont play the game right.
I ride in the community races everyday to get my limit 1000 points ..
thats 30,000 a month. plus points for freinds joining is 10,000 each freind..
now if you sign up as a student you get 5000 when the mentor excepts you,, then 20,000 i think after the mentor period.
If you play the game like me you can easily build your stable, enter tournaments., training, riding and betting.

Give the game a go my friend im sure you'll love it......

billy when you say more points earnt then in your count. do you refer to riding in quick start?
In my case i find i need to ride 1 or 2 extra races before the points actualy appear.
this maybe just my connection but for me.... i ride race and win, get say 400 points, that 400 wont appear on my screen until i finish race 2.. and so on.. also i think free members limited to 500 points won per ride so if you won 800 points in a race only 500 of them will go into your account until you reach 1000 points.. then riding is just fun but i prefer to get 1000 then over to advance mode and train my nag.

.hope im right or i look stupid lmao..

The basic game id free but like anything else in life from food to education even to entertainment if you spend a little money the level of engagement and fun is increased. For .33 per day you can get unlimited hours of pure rock solid heart pounding fun.

Go to the movies these days and 50.00 3 people will be entertained in a non interactive way for less then 2 hours .

what you have said is correct..the points not appear at the same time..you need to wait 1 or 2 ride after that then the points appear..this can be helpful knowledge for newbie :)

Thanks all-I'm out to breed my first winner(I hope),and yes slavedave I'm running a lot of those quick start races,I hope those points are being attributed because I read somewhere that I can get community races through a button I cannot find so it stays in private races all the time.
I already have my first mentorship class with chris who's a class act all the way and hope to learn more.

It took 30 comments, but finally, a valid point is made. True, you can decide what you want out of the game for whatever amount you wish to spend, just like anything else in life.
For .33 a day, one can get pure fun.....

in reference to you comment about 6000 for vip makes it $18.. i might have missed somthing there billy. i think vip status of $10/mnth allows you to get 6000 points linit per day up riding in quick start. compared to limit of 1000 if free like us..

There is a issue with players trying to get their first horse free . The system is not working correctly and is being looked at . This will only effect players getting their very first horse that is free. Players using points or cash have no issues .

This issue was caused by the roll out of the new horses FN-PN . The development team will resolve in a few days
