Just did 20 runnings of the Pacific Class. And...it's a toss-up. The horse that had the most number of points (Delosvientos) did not have the most wins (Awesome Gem). Here is the run-down, based on the Breeder's Cup system of 10 points for first, 6 points for second, and 4 points for third. Total points are shown along with their record in the money.
72 points Delosvientos (4-2-5)
64 points Awesome Gem (5-1-2)
64 points Barcola (3-5-1)
60 points Well Armed (3-3-3)
44 points Zappa (1-5-1)
42 points Student Council (2-3-1)
14 points Go Between (1-0-1)
On another topic, I'd be curious about your thoughts on a new blog I just started on thoroughbred pedigrees. The URL should be appearing underneath my signature. My first posting is on the sire Milwaukee Brew. Please let me know what you think--a PM is fine rather than using up forum space on an unrelated topic. Thanks in Advance!

On mine, Well Armed pretty much dominated, followed by Barcola and Delosvientos.
I ran the race 15 times with the 10,6,4 point structure...Delosvientos did very bad on mine...here are the results.
Barcola 62 pts
Well Armed 56 pts
Awesome Gem 40 pts
Student Council 32 points
Go Between 26 pts
Mostacolli Mort 20 pts
Surf Cat 20 pts
Mast Track 16 pts
Delosvientos 14 pts
Zappa 12 pts
McCanns Mojave SCR
I just don't buy Barcola and Delosvientos in this race. I know they have run some good Beyers but so has most of this field.
What is you guys' take on how this game models the polytrack? One of the recent VIP races I thought was a little off. It might have been the San Diego Derby?
I put $20 to win on Well Armed and $10 to show on Student Council. I need to recoup some after Colonel John broke my heart last night beating my new favorite horse, Mambo in Seattle in a photo.
This race is a toss-up! Of course, the game didn't do so well in the Travers with Harlem Rocker, but that's to be expected--any number of things could happen during a race, and Harlem Rocker WAS coming on pretty strong towards the end yesterday, just as he did in the sim.
But what can beat Sunday night at the races? ESPN covering Del Mar for two hours on a Sunday evening. What a great way to end a weekend!
