They're off. I come out conservative avoiding traffic and slowly working my way toward the rail. It's 1 and 3/16 theres no rush just let em settle in. Into the first turn now and every looks good. Coming outta the turn now I give em a slight nudge and he responds and slowly starts to work his way toward the front. Halfway down the back I ask a bit more and again he responds and now I have the leaders in sight as we head into the turn for home. To this point it has been an incident free race, no bumps, brushes or banging of any kind. Heading outta the turn and into the stretch I've now picked off everyone but the leader and i've got the speed and plenty in the tank. This race is mine... uh oh wait somethings wrong he's slowing down 3, no 4 speed clicks. Has he thrown a shoe, has he been shot, poisoned, what is it? Oh yea he's 38-1 what was I thinking.
Don't ya hate it when that happens. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Yah I have had that happen before it really stinks

It could be that the distance was too far, even though the bars say that he/she should have plenty left for the finish. I could be wrong, but this is something I noticed early on (as a "new" member), but haven't payed too much attention to of late.
How does this particular horse do in route races? Does he/she do better in sprints.? Is this a one time thing at this distance, or is it common for the horse to, all of a sudden, stop???

It use to happen in the previous build from time to time and could usually be traced to conditions, distance or to much on track bumping and banging. In the new build it seems to happen if you catch a 2 mph cross breeze and your on an island. And coincidentally when things are looking good on a long shot. I've pretty much given up on anything further out then 30-1.
