I offer my apologies to anyone I may have offended. Monday night, (third shift- I work at a prison) I accidentally got pepper sprayed during an altercation with an inmate, and should not have vented my frustrations here in the forum. It really had nothing to do with anything, or anyone but my job, which I should not have brought here. Again, I apologize to anyone that thought I was referring to them- I wasn't. I did mean the kudos for Mod and Sound, and should have left it at that. This is one place where I can be amongst people that share my love for horseracing, and should not have brought my bad attitude here. There are so many good people here, and you did not deserve my abusive tirade.

CO here too.
How did you even type after? When I got sprayed I had tears and snot coming out of my face for 6 hours. lol
I notice you spent quite a few points on breeding yourself (as have I). I get the feeling you may have been speaking of yourself as well, which certainly makes your comments less harsh. I didn't take offense even though I may have "bought" a few blue badges. The Yankees still WON the series no matter how much money Georgie spent.

If you ever need to talk things out send me a PM. I worked corrections for over 25 years (retired now) from CO to LT and Paroles. Worked at five prisons from levels I-IV, four conservation camps and several special assignments in between so I can relate. There is a great need to relieve and control the pressures of the stress caused in this line of work so it does not have a detrimental effect on your health. A special part of playing this horse racing game is the positive support you get from this community.

This is why I keep coming back! I wish I actually knew all of the people here, simply because it's a collection of the types of people I would want as friends in the real world. Thanks to HRF for bringing together a great melting pot of people!

It was nothing, you got two great millionares in your barn - good luck in your future tournaments!

Your new thread is an expression of the true character of a man who is concerned that they might have in some way hurt another person and want to make amends. I applaude you for that.
I don't know what it's like to be sprayed by pepper spray, but during Army basic training many years ago, we had to walk around in a huge tent where they released tear gas, without use of a mask. This was pretty bad.

*dragon hands our Kleanex, cookies, and hugs*... your all good.. Ive done the same thing many times... and ive learned that when people vent to others.. its usually because they trust them and feel comfortable doing so along with needing the support that these communities provide... take me for instance.. I don't have anybody real life that I can talk and vent too.. and I try to hold it in but its not always easy and on occasion slips out.. your a HUGE part of this community for a reason.. :D :D

If venting on here is what you need to do to let it out, then you go right ahead. It is always better to let it out than to hold it in. As Sundown said, we all have those days.

it is a great bunch of people here at HRF. (except for one crazy kangaroo. He's not human!!) LOL
But everyone here is a genuine and nice person.
Someone elses trouble and honesty always brings out the best in people.
Too bad we all live so far apart, it would be great to be able to meet everyone. :)
Cheers Beefy, i wouldn't wish your job on Anyone.
If ever your in Oz, there'll always be a cold 1 or 20 for ya! :)

My job didn't exactly suck, but it had it's dangers. How would you like a job that had you welding on live natural gas mains (pipes) every day?
What's a live gas main, you ask? Well, it has 50 psi of natural gas flowing through the pipe while you're welding on it. This was only a small part of my job. I'm retired now and enjoying the good life. Not exactly stress free, but good. This HRF game, this community board, is where I get away from any stress. I've met many good freinds here.

When I was in my twenties, I had to drive 15 miles to the San Francisco airport, late at night, to pickup my girlfriends room mate. I had been drinking way too many Rum and cokes and shouldn't have been driving.
My girlfriend was with me and had to help angle me off of the Hwy to a safe pulloff spot, when the 4 lanes turned into 8 lanes. Yes, the Rum hit me all of a sudden and I was seeing 8 lanes. Perhaps even 16. I never let that happen again. Gosh, the stupid things you do when you're young.

Are we talkin' mud wrestling???
Here's mud in your eye...
One common variation involves wrestling in gelatin rather than mud. This practice is known as Jell-O wrestling in the United States and as jelly wrestling in the United Kingdom. Other foods, such as pudding, creamed corn and mashed potatoes, have also been used for similar events.
I wonder who used to mud wrestle...?

bless you for the work you do, and for the strength of character to recognize and take responsibility for the things you do that might hurt people. You are a special dude, and you are forgiven. (actually, I think I missed that post, so you were swell with me anyway, but now you're more swell.) What a way to get to know the rest of the bunch, too! My goodness, you opened the floodgates!
Us nurses don't usually get pepper spray, except for when that one patient brought it into the hospital with her, and was rummaging in her purse for something and set it off in her room, making life a little more complicated for the nurses, who couldn't figure out what had happened, since the patient was too embarrassed to confess why she in particular and the nurses in general, were crying and gagging.
And basic training sounds like too much fun, Sound (not). The worst job training I had to endure was trading intramuscular injections in our gluteus maximi when we were learning to give shots. Nurses are wonderful, but not all nursing students have great technique! I guess ya gotta learn sometime. My fanny still hurts, just thinking about it, 20 some years later! Anyway, glad you survived your job! I'm guessing you're not welding on explosive things any more just for fun.

Yes, motron some one mentioned 'mud'....lol
frost, I also remember learning to give a recieve shots. I think both of my arms and my posterior still twitch when I remember it. I don't think it is every going to go away. It was about 25 years gor for me...lol
Beefy, thank goodness I have never had the pepper spray experiance though. That looks just as bad or worse than recieving shots from beginners.
