I have been noticing that the 50 cp races are all being won by players that score 300+ pps scores. It seems a little weak to me for players to be able to set up a 50 cp race that has a 700 pps or lower restriction. Why is there no minimum limit on these as well. This is the reason HRF is changing the trainer game to include smaller tournaments. All of us players that cant seem to muster a 150 pps are being completely dominated by bigger players in 50cp races. There is a entire range of levels possible to set up yet everyone keeps setting up the small races with 700 pps maximums. Does anyone really have a 700pps, no, so it means any of the best players can enter these tourney's and dominate. And they do to. Why should I continue to enter any jockey races if I know I don't stand a chance? I concede that you are a better player than me...for now but it does not seem right for such high level players to dominate small events. I suggest that if a 500pps player sets up a 50cp tourney he should also have a minimum pps allowed at 350 so that I can't enter the tourney and he will have to face equal competition.

There is very little incentive for less experienced players to match up against the long time higher rated opponents. I would suggest that you continue to set up your own tournaments and hope they fill with people who are at the same level experience. It takes time to be more competitive, but you will get there. I also avoid some of those tournaments because the same people seem to win most of them.

OK. I have noticed you in some of the same tourneys. I will try to rate the comp more. I still think there should be more limits. I tried to create some high point tourneys for 190pps and under but they got canceled.

The points dont seem to be an incentive to most, notice the 2 tournaments I set up with pps 373 or less 50 entry fee loaded - 1050 entry fee has 2 entrants you and I. It is for this reason only that I create the 50 point tourneys.

I mostly am involved with the trainer portion of game so don't follow the other aspects of game closely enough to complain, but do follow it close enough to understand the frustrations and what some are saying. I agree with them. There has to be something out there, where we could all have a chance. This is also true in the Breeders Cup Tournaments. Something for everyone.
In my own opinion, I think, as the game evolves and more folks join up and become a part of our community, all of these things mentioned in this thread, will be worked out to the satisfaction of all.
Gosh, I've been here approx. 14 1/2 months and you can't imagine how far we've come since then, with further enhancements included frequently, with no apparent end in site. The team does listen to us, especially if we complain in a reasonable manner.
I've played just about every horse race game out there over the years and this is the best. Can't get any better. But, it does. It just keeps on getting better. There is no end in site.

just like you handicap the horses. They could set it up to level the playing field by giving the lower pps players compensatory handicaps.

Most of these guys aren't VIP's, and can't create a tournament for any more than 50 community points. I would suggest setting up tournament as you have been at your level, or get a buddy that has only a slightly higher pps to set up a tourny where you could get more entries. Do this at a point level where more people would participate maybe say around 200 or so points, this will be a Vip only tournament. There is nothing wrong with the system as it is just create and enter tournys that aren't over your head.

When you set up a tourntament it will automatically set it up at your PPS or ROI so you will be competing with others at your level or below. Once you get players that are eligible to play you can then make a list of them and invited them to your future tournaments or you can enter the ones they create.
When your tournaments aren't filling the game will alert you and advise you to advertise it to get it filled. Why wait? Announce it immediately after building it and include the PPS/ROI for it (been there and done that).
When I go looking for a tournament to get into I can clearly see which ones I do not qualify for. Also looking for tournaments that I do qualify for I find the process tedious and frustrating as I am having to click on each and every one only to learn a great majority of the time that most are far and above what I can compete at (I feel your pain oblitz). I so I stop looking and end up not playing.
I believe that posting the tournaments maximum PPS/ROI on the tournament page under the tournament name would expidite the time it takes to see if you are willing to comepete in a tournament you do qualify for while allowing you to quickly rate the competition.
Would it be to difficult to do this? I hope not, as this would help the players to quicky determine whether they would want to enter a tournament or not and it expidites the entire process. Hope there is a Moderator out there that can present this suggestion to the powers that be.
Welcome back motron! We almost sent out the general to hunt you down (don't worry the instructions were not to shoot and to ask questions first. You had outbackjack worried he couldn't find anyone to pay for his drinks or drive him home from the pub, got bloody plastered and somewhat incoherent).
