Hey everyone hope ya'll had a wonderful day!
Also, just got the word that Zenyatta will, in fact, be running in the Breeders' Cup Classic next Saturday! She worked six furlongs today under Mike Smith in 1:12.40.
"The work was really fantastic, maybe even better than I expected," Smith said. "The best part was when I stood up and she galloped out. Whoosh. She took off like it was nothing. She just hit another gear...I believe she can run with anyone."

Cause she's gonna take a ton of action!!!!! Be a super depressed fav and disappoint all of america!! Not gonna end the way everyone in america thinks it's going to. There isn't going to be any story to tell the grandkids. I bet she finishes 3rd or 4th.
Very surprised and disappointed.

No matter what happens, I applaud her connections for taking the step. I like Rachel too (who doesn't?), but she's not going to be there because Jess Jackson was traumatized when Curlin had an off day on the Pro-Ride.
I personally think Rachel could handle the field, regardless of who makes up the field, but it isn't going to happen. I have a lot of respect for Jackson and I think it was a great leap of faith, and also a gift to the fans, that he sent Curlin out West last year. I was very disappointed when he decided not to send Rachel because of his experience in the last BC.
I wouldn't be so quick to discount Zenyatta either... SA is her stomping ground.

rip van winkle will dominate the races zenyatte will be nowhere aiden o`brien has him ready for this race

When a horse find those extra gears, they're very difficult to beat. I believe it will be the boys worrying about her, rather than her worrying about the boys. I'm quite certain she'll win. I wish I was there to witness the big win and to crack a cold one.
Btw folks/mates, don't forget the Melbourne Cup coming up next Tuesday. Who do you like?

The competition in the BC Classic will be stiff, for sure. But Zenyatta is a monster. She lives for the California artificial surface. She may not have a lot of value on the day, from a bettor's perspective, but I think that will be justified. Mike knows what she can do; he knows how to ride her and he's ridden her many times, on that very track.
I won't sit here and guarantee that she will win, but I think she has as good a chance as any.

I am patiently waiting for the Breeder's Cup to get here. I am sure Mike Smith has been his pep talk for the race and I know they will be ready to take on the males. In my opinion, the Mosses should have went with the Ladies Classic again to see if she could repeat another World Championship.

...for Zenyatta, just because it will be fun thinking about the heads spinning deciding which filly should get horse of the year.

I think the way she stumbles out of the gate will haunt her (good word for today) I do think she will be close but no win...Stan

Is there a challenge buddy option for this one??

I bet Mike could create something with the challenge buddy and a pre-built race.
It should draw alot of interest:))

COME ON RIP VAN WINKLE, the day is coming!
(btw, rip v. w. is an italian bred, but this has nothing to do with my certainty, since august, that he will run BIG in the classic)
