LOL... I've spent over a $1,000 on community points for trainer horses.

I agree though, in my honest opinion they charge too much money for community points (which are imaginary).

$45 for 500,000 - it should by maybe $20 for 500,000 in my opinion. They'd get a lot more purchases if they bumped their prices down. Also taking into consideration it's rare to get a great horse anyways, so it's ganna take a lot of community points.

make money off 4 or 5 players you make money off 500 who spend every day do the math its bull if you think about it. you have spent what 1,000 for what? if i got a check in the mail every time i won a turnny id think about it. BUT ITS A GAME no more no less. I like the game but its like pulling toe nails out and ive had it. for god sake you can not keep taking and giving nothing back the math says they will leave. P.S the breeding here has no skill at all its when ever they want to give you a good horse. YA RIGHT. and it should be member ship by the year not by points. its like buying 2 apples for 3 bucks and 3 for 5 give me a brake i was not born yesterday.

Some pairs are complete crap, but some pairs will give you really good horses at a much better percentage than the crap pairs.

You just gotta know what's hot and what's not.

and where do you find that out ? By asking the horses them selfs there are no guide lines here no where

Check out the leading horses in the game based on breeding. Most of the successful breeds are indicated with a bit of research. Talking to the screen might not work unless Mr Ed has Skype or MSN......

for me, loosing my compts is no big deal, im here for fun and not for investments, im paying hrf for my own pleasure for this game of a hundred thrills..

Yes Raven, I go to each sire and ask them which dam do they like the most, and then I do the same for each dam. That's definately the best way to do it.

Its all entertainment, and you pay for what you get. Id prefer to spend 10 bucks on HRF than getting some videos. Lime, your probably the most cool calm and collective character in game who never complains. Keep up that positive vibe mate.

You have been as member for over 3 months so you have spent a whopping 28 cents a day on this site, if you give me your address I will send you a buck and next week is on me. I have played alot of Horse race games some for free some not, I will have no problem spending 10-20 bucks a month here. This is the only horse race community I have ever seen where every week new features are being added. I can only imagine how much they have spent on everything. I noticed you have run 1500 races so maybe I am stupid but that sounds like a min of 60hrs of entertainment, about 50 cents a hr. My wife and I went to the movies last night for 2hrs in entertainment (movie sucked) and spent $30 on the Movie and junk food, I would have rather had the 60 hrs of fun with the emotional up and downs a good game gives you than 2hrs of a C movie. Nothing in life is free and now that I have learned the game I will be building up my stable, I just bought my first $50 in points tonight.

What if the video is crappy???
Can it be refunded?
Is research needed before hiring???

I have spent over 100 dollars in horse files and run most of my races in private mode and do not regret one dime, the game is a blast. I have bred 1o trainer horses and kept 2, the fun I had figuring them out was also a blast. I'm 19 and been a member for over a year. I have spent hundreds of hours on the game and its one of my favorite things to do. Understand I am in school and I make $10 an hr, even with that I could not go to one NFL game without spending more money. I do not understand your point. Littel is spelled Little.

that's how we train here, light gallop to horses with sack of coconuts on top of them without a jockey (LOL) up to now i only got third and fourth placer trainer badge because of that strategy, haha.

this game helps me a lot in my idle time rather than to spend my money in real horseracing here, thanks to hrf -- Gary a.k.a. Lime

I could be here a thousand years, become someone's student twenty times over,read the get help a zillion times over for several hours and still be over my head in the tricks of the trade. I enjoy the game for the games sake of watching cute little graphic horses run around a race track, and like many other players here, hope that someday any of my horses can reach the breeding stable to earn CPs to cut the cost of buying them.

I like the community,even if I dont always pipe up with responses, Some of the racing entry fees I think are high but I figure those are for you all that are either mods, old timers, or those who know the workings of real life racing. I dont think I own any fast horses and if I do, I probably retired them on accident or when they werent doing any placing in tourneys. Such is my luck.

I would like to see a stable link placed with the inbox msg, so after I get done deleting all the msgs, I dont have to go to my acct, then to stable, or backspace to stables.

I would love to see something being done with the stable earnings for those of us that dont own super horses or have yet to be blessed with a top breeder. This might help free accounts not be so frusterated?

I would like to see less/ no votes for naming top breeder 150 votes seems abit excessive and I dont understand the logic behind having the votes. If the horses get listed on that page and has earned the money amount ,what need of the votes to prove it?, the horses have already proven it by the earnings and tourney winnings. I suspect it must be to keep the community involved.

I would like to see performance reports to be 100% accurate, they are so riddle with maybes and you will have to see for yourself ,it makes me want to snatch someone bald.

I would like to see that your private mode races shows you exactly what your horse is capable of ,so that you can place them in the correct training tourneys and not waste points second guessing.

These are just to name a few things I would like in the game and maybe they will be implimented at a future date. I am not complaining, If I didnt like the game I know how to cancel my account.

Keep your chin up Raven,someone surely will help you out with your questions. I would offer but am afraid I would lead you down the wrong track and the next thing you know, we would be at some steeplechasing race instead of here. And the looks of all your pretty badges your already way ahead of me :)

This Game is not easy, you can play it for free, you can buy points, and this is up to you.
For the last few months my stable is paying its way, I don’t have mega points as I purchase new horses from my tournament returns ,in an attempt to make my stable grow, it may be a long process but it is possible, I always say to myself that each horse I buy is a puzzle that needs to be figured out in training and in tournaments .

The truth is our game is more realistic then most . In other games training your horses decides how he will perform but in real life there is not that much correlation between training and racing . How many times have you seen horses train well and then run poor in a race ? There are a lot more factors that need to be considered besides saying train my horse this much today . In dealing with some of the best trainers in the world I have herd them say the same thing over and over. Training your horse can give you a idea of what kind of horse you have but racing will tell the real story.
In our game you train before the race from the race entry page in the community when in a tournament .This training plays a factor but you need to keep track of that for his future races. The real skill in our game is trying to figure out what kind of horse you have, for example his he a sprinter? Does he like the slop? Can he handle sharp turns? Does he like the turf? What is or are his best racing ages ? Once you figure this out then you have to find tournaments for him and see if he carries these traits threw from the test races in the game to the tournament races against other players. When racing in tournaments other factors come in to play like racing consistency and courage, so it takes both good in game training and good tournament race evaluation to really figure out your horses. Without both you can easily fail .
Some players figure it out fast and just like in real life do great . I see we have some trainers with very high win % and in the money % . These trainers not only know what kind of races their horses like but they also know if their horses are good enough to keep and compete with in tournaments and what races to place in tournaments(another big factor). To many players run horses in races that are over their head like grade 1 and grade 2 races in a tournaments or keep horses that just do not have the ability to beat better horses .
The game is not easy and if you try to make it easy and not do the work you just can not be a top player . Yes I know at the end of the day luck is a big factor in this game just like it is in real racing but like my good friend trainer Doug O'Neil says "luck will only get you so far and then skill carries you the rest of the way". Most trainers in real life win at less then 10% while others win above 25% or more this is the difference between knowing what to do in all aspects of training and not knowing much at all. The same follows here in our game . The best trainers are starting to do great . I can say who the big winners will be at least for now. Good luck

This game is free, to this day I have not put a cent into this game and am still enjoying the thrill of the chase for that great horse. i have 6 horses in my stable, some good some so so. It is not an easy game but part of the fun is trying to figure it out, even though I admit the Corona and Lime pair sound really good sometimes. I have run 50 trainer races and have been in the money 14 of them and have only won points twice, and have done this all without investing a cent. I have only been a member since this past May. Myself I plan to try some new breeding combinations here soon. Before they changed the breeding from a numbers rating to excellent, fair and good I was able to make a speedsheet with all the Horses ratings, running styles and prefered distances. pretty much finished it and if anyone is interested send me a PM with your e-mail and will send it too you if you like. thats how much "I LOVE THIS GAME"

The only way you are going to get anywhere in this game is if you spend your community points. The trainer horses, jockey tourneys, and everything else is not going to be handed to you. Since I joined this game, I have found it to be very addicting and fun. Riding in the tourneys, winning races here and there is just like actual life. This is the best game ever and those of us that have been here for a while have seen a lot of changes. With the breeding game, you have to experiment with each sire and dam; you are not going to know what you get. If you get a dud, then you can always retire him/her and start over. This game has given every member something with the new features that have been added so saying it hasn't given anything to the members is wrong. Most of my community points have come from riding in jockey tourneys and participating in forums like this one. I am still waiting for that trainer tournament win and I know I will get it but I have to be patient. We don't see this game as an investment but as something that we all love.
