Gee, guys--between this and prestonrocks87's blog giving advice on how to pick up women this is starting to become a lonely hearts site! I know that many of us horseplayers are a solitary and somewhat lonely group (I'm generalizing, I know), but let's not make it so obvious! :-)
No offense intended, Gus! Just a bit of good-natured ribbing--especially in light of the aforementioned blog entry! And yes, I've heard racing is big there--too bad we get only limited news of Italian racing here. And, of course, the great Italian breeder Federico Tesio himself had his Dormello Stud in Northern Italy! Good luck getting some responses.
I wasnt even close to being offended, sorry if my response sounded like I was. I would love to visit some of those farms over there, it would be awesome. Some of those farms house their horses in unbeleivable old historic buildings. though I was born and grew up in Sicily, I have only been to northern Italy a few times and never had opportunity to visit any of the Stud Farms. However I galloped thouroughbreds in Sicily for a local race stable that belonged to my Fathers cousin. There was no track in town, but once a year on the feast of St. Joseph our little town put on horse races. They raced on blacktop and were a lotta fun, can you imagine racing on pavement ? Shocking to us now in this day and age.

Not lonely hearts, just checking to see if the game had any players from Italy. Horse Racing is big in northern Italy.
