I was just wondering if Blinkers were ever a thought for the game. I think it would be a great addition. If you could pick the color and how big, like quarter-cup, half, full. It would be a great thing.
I agree, I remember I mentioned Blinkers on a post awhile back when someone was asking about whip control. But yes general I think it wouls be a great addition to the game
it's not bad if you're one of those colts that likes to check out the fillies, The blinkers help to preserve your winning status.
But if your wife is one of those fillies who likes to check out everyone's shoes, maybe she needs blinkers too!
May you have many blissful years together, until you're both so old and ugly, you thank God for near vision problems, because it permits you to still think each other are foxy! (the near vision problems start at or around 45, with any luck, the wrinkles it hides don't show up for a few years later)
The fillies won't be able to check out many shoes at Del Mar anymore, I just read an article last week in the North County Times, here in San Diego County. I guess the trainers have tried Pam spray, and all kinds of non stick stuff for their horse's shoes, to keep the track from sticking to their shoes. Seems the synthetic track is very sticky, and it builds up in the horses racing plates just like snow does. frostbite would know about snowballs in horses shoes.... Half of the trainers down here are now running them barefoot! I had to read that twice to believe it. But that is what it said. I guess the even the trainers, owners and exercise people hate the sticky stuff also. But then if you get it on your shoes it usually means you made a trip to the winners circle.....
But I like the blinker idea anyway, maybe keep a couple of my horses from running all over the track. If they ran straight, they would most likely place better.....lol
It's also known for making horses show a little more early speed. That I think would be the main objective for it.

like different scenery, 3 Owls. You remind me of my youth. I was at Del Mar one weekend at that age, maybe 25 years ago, dressed in a tee shirt (Show No Cleavage, It Only Encourages Them) with a live bullfrog on my shoulder, waiting my turn for a jumping contest. Those were the days! Some of them, at least....
my horse are all not that good and i hope blinkers will come out to make horses run better and i hope the community also can geld the horse to a gelding as it makes male horse better

...if you have a colt who can't stop checking out the ladies on the homestretch, or a filly that can't stop checking out everyone else's shoes!
