So far i cant get my logitech to work.
Is there something I can do with my P.C to make the Logitech compatable with HRF.One problem I have is that I am using a laptop.
I just lost a race at Timonium by a nose on an 11-1 because i thought i was hitting the up arrow which would have closed the rail to the favorite but instead i was hitting the down arrow and i opened up the rail and got beat at the wire.

Most PC game controllers, especially from a quality manufacturer like Logitech have software to emulate the keyboard inputs with the digital pads. You can obtain the software at Logitech's site and see if that will work for you.

I dont think you can use one, I`ve only been able to use arrows on keypad. Also I have a lot of trouble staying on the rail when jockeying races, is it me or do any other players find the same thing if anyone can be of help or offer suggestions on the rail problem pleaseshare it with us. Thanks, Gus
If the controller manufacturer offers keyboard emulation, you certainly can, you just have to set the emulation up using the controller's configuration software. You would just need to assign the Up, Down, Left, and Right arrow keys to the Up, Down, Left and Right positions on a digital pad or hat switch.
Saitek and Logitech both provide this support for the majority of their products. The computer then cannot tell the difference between you pressing the buttons on the keyboard or the game pad.

When I first started in the game, I used to always try to save ground, but my horses would either never quite get to the rail or would bore out at the wrong times getting me caught in traffice. But as they say, practice makes perfect...at least some times.
This what I discovered in my racing experience
1. Some horses just do not handle the rail. Its a lot less than I once thought, but i still find a few that just do not do well.
2. Horses hold the rail better if just before you get into the turn you tap your arrow key a couple of times towards the rail.
3. When on the turn sit chilly. A increase in speed will sometimes cause your horse to bore out unless someone is to his immediate outside. Try to have the horse in the cruising speed you want just before the turn.
4. Out of the turn, if your horse is starting to lug out a bit or if someone is front of him, be patient. Do not try to rush him back to the rail right away, usually he will not go anyway. Wait a few strides until he's leveled off before trying to go in or out. Especially on the turn home.
Hope that helps some. Maybe someone can chime in with what they do

May they all come home safely!!!
In the previous home version of the game ,you could look into the make up of each horse and see if a horse ran well on turns.you could then adjust either way.
In this online version there is no way of telling until you jockey one.
My guess is there are horses that run well on turns and others that dont.
If you want to practice running on turns ,choose dirt then european then Timonium.
Timonium is actually an american track north of baltimore, try a 10 furlong race there.
Six ,two and even ...over and out
wat kind of controller would u use fro this game????\
i want to knwo that
