OK those of you who watched the UN this weekend were probably amazed with Precious Passions race. Scoots off to a 20 length lead and holds on to wire the field in a a new track record. A tick off the world record. Problem I have with this race is the clock shows the first 1.4 in 19.4 seconds? Is that possible? The half was 45 which leads me to believe it should be 21.4 but what they heck is going on?
You watch the replay by going to bloodhorses main page and going to race replays and selected the UN stakes.
PP has now run the two most amazing races at Monmouth this year. The other race giving up the lead by 2 lengths with a 100 yards left with nothing but heart and whip he fights back to win!

The first quarter in 19.4 seconds?! Yeah something's gotta be messed up there...I doubt that's even possible.

It really depends on how far the run up is. At most tracks the clock doesn't start when the gates open, if there is a significant run-up its possible because she wasted little time getting into full stride....19.4 is really incredible, especially for that distance.

He was also rather rank on the walk over, appeared to attempt to bite a rival when the were moving from the turf to the dirt after the race (despite wearing a flash), and acted up in the winner's circle. He was being a pain as well when they were watering him after the race. His final time was within a second of the world record for 11 furlongs and crushed English Channel's track record.
