Many keyboards with advanced multi-media functions (like the Logitech Elite Series for example) require the user to press a "F-Lock" key to change the function keys to their default uses instead of the shortcut macros that could also be programmed to use those keys.

i also had that same problem but i went to control panel on my computer and had to enable them on the keyboard settings. maybe it might work for you
