The game is in BETA . Things will take time to get to where we want them to go (THE GENERAL RESPONSE FOR OUR HORSE RACING GAME HAS BEEN VERY POSITIVE). The navigation issue is being handled as I Type. There will be no navigation issue after the 15th of next month . Many new features are on there way . (I can not disclose but they are great)

There have been a few players from the old version of horse race fantasy that are over whelmed when they first try the game . This is a new game with a new focus . The days of a simple DOS self play horse game are over for us)
With that said we hope you stick around and grow with us but maybe we are not for you .

I was one of the first members. Each week the game get's better . I love it . I have bought a few files but for 20.00 bucks I have gotten so many hours of fun. I can not share my races because of my fire wall here at work blocks that ability .
The navigation of the horse racing could be better but I am now so use to it I would not know where to start (ha ha )
It looks like you have run over 200 races so there must be something you like? It wis all coming together fast . Stick around the fun is just getting started . Play in community mode and earn more points to get free race files .

indiancharlie-sorry you feel that way. But I do recommend being patient. The game is going in a new direction and the team is working hard to get new content to the users . I see you are not a VIP member, and that is OK, so it is not costing anything to play right now. If you want to buy race files that is fine but you also have the option to not buy and EARN files by playing. the more you play the less the files cost. I have paid zero $$$$ for my last two horse files. I recommend you try and earn as many as you can. I have been playing version of this game since '99. And times I struggled with the amount of money Gary charged in the day....but the new model will be completely different and has no comparison. While some of the horse files are smaller in quantity the same quality is there....and Gary is still involved.

So all I can say is you are entitled to your opinion but give the team time to develop and execute their vision....I think you will missing out on some terrific stuff if you dont.

I should add....I am a forum moderator here but I am not on the payroll. I am doing this to help a small team grow and execute on a vision. There are times when I have been critical but the bad here is way outweighed by the good, and the is a lot of good and some major @ss good comming down the road too.

I already have 4 horse files and am waiting for the 70's horse file to buy my 5th. The thing is that I haven't paid a cent for this game. There are ways to have fun here without paying. That is what makes this game so good. Of course, you have to master the game to be able to win tournaments, but I've only been playing this game for a few months and I won both of the tournaments I entered. Don't get discouraged and keep of trying. Enter tournaments and eventually you will be able to get the files you want without paying a dime. I know puddles wouldn't like me to say it but it is true. You can't complain about the price for the game when the game is as good as this one and can be played for free.

but lets try a quick and dirty

1. Yes you can get files without being a VIP....it may take longer. VIPS can earn 5000 points per day and non VIP's only 1000 points....but a pointis a point.

2. Earning points is a consistant way to get horse files...but the best way is win tournaments for quick points...first place payouts have been in the range of 200,000 points.

3. To enter a tourney schedule calandar on the right hand side , go to the day you want to enter a tourney and it will list all tourneys. When you find one click the register button and your in.

4. Every horse you bet or jockey has can earn points, no matter what odds....I think 4th place in a race is what you need to finish. Amount of points is determined by there odds. Please read the game and community info link to find out more. Max points you can earn a race is 500.

5. Can you buy VIP membership with points? While I am not sure, I highly doubt it.

Yes, there are a lot of questions. First and foremost, you cannot buy a VIP Membership through our virtual horse game with points. VIP Memberships have a lot of advantages over regular memberships. Currently, all of our horse racing tournaments do not require entry fees. This is about to end. All our horse game tournaments will require entry fees and entry fees are paid with community points. VIP Members of our virtual game earn community points 5 times faster than non-VIP members. VIP members also have the ability to play in special horse racing tournaments, both betting and jockeying, not open to the general public. There are a lot of other reasons to be a VIP horse racing game player. For example, VIPs receive, in advance, all major stake races so they can simulate or run those horse races many times over prior to the actual horse racing event. VIPs get extra community race horses each month and there are many more perks for VIPs coming.

As far as the best way to start out, if you are a newbie to our free horse game, please see on the left navigation the Game & Community Info tab. From there, there are 3 sections I highly recommend reading first. Horse Racing Fantasy General Game Overview (this is very important and gives you the 1,000-foot approach to understanding our racing games). Then if you're interested in playing in our horse racing tournaments, read the Tournament Entry Guide. I also suggest the tab entitled Points, Badges & Awards - very important to our horse game players who are serious about horse racing tournaments, earning community points and using those points to their advantage. Also, to help you handicap the races better, whether as a jockey or a bettor in our virtual horse racing game, check out the Handicapper's Guide to Horse Racing Fantasy. Our free horse game is very different than other horse games or horse racing games. Reading these sections will get you up to speed.

Finally, earning points and becoming established in our horse racing community requires you to play in community mode. Playing in community mode is done from inside the game under the Race Setup page. On the top left of that page, you will notice a blue button entitled "Switch Players". Clicking on that button will move your horse game playing status from Private mode to Community mode and vice-versa.

The VIP membership is a steal for $9.95 a month. The Pre-built races are fantastic and helped me win money on the real races. Anybody complaining about the price needs to get their head examined. There isn't too much you can get in the world for 10 dollars a month that give you this much entertainment. I can't wait to see the finished product and all the new features.

In addition to agreeing with all of the sentiments stated above, let me add this. Like many others in this community, I've been playing this game for many years and purchased it originally for the "classic" horses. With this newer version, I was at first very skeptical about the whole idea of community horses. At first, I thought "why on earth would I want to play with made up horses?" but I have proven myself wrong. As it turns out, I've not purchased anywhere NEAR the number of "classic" horse files as I would have expected, because I'm having plenty of fun just playing with the community horses.

Having said that, I definitely would NOT want the team to stop making the classic horses . . . but the fun is clearly there for anyone wanting to play the game but who does not wish to invest in the classic files, for whatever reason. As for me, I will continue to purchase (with money or points) more classic files eventually, but right now I'm having plenty of fun with the community horses.

I think for the hours and fun we have on this game, it couldnt be any cheaper...Ive played many online game that cost way over $59.00 just to buy the game, and then $15.00 a month to play monthly...This is by far the best horse racing game out there. Ive played other ones I wont mention, and they dont even compare....Id say 200 times better than even the game Gallop Racer, which I played forever...once you can train and breed and doo all that, there wont be a game that would hold a candle to this game...Id be glad to pay even more monthly just to support this....the guy who started this post, must not know anything about a buisness and the need to make money to create things...to produce this game cost thousands upon thousands, id say if you can do better, create your own game that you think would be better..or play and have fun :) ruffiano....

I think this horse racing game is one of the best. It is heading in the right diretion, I have played all kinds of horse racing games and this is FAR the best there is..
