Points per Race

Some of you guys are averaging 100-200 points per start during a weekly period. How in the world do you do that? I struggle to keep mine around 70-75.

free virtual horse racing game players

That is very good !!! They must be good at both playing our horse game and also good handicappers . You have to be good not only ridding the race horse in our racing game but you also have to know what race horse to ride .
I know some players are good at one or the other but there are a few really good virtual horse game players good at both(NOT ME). Maybe they can give us a few horse racing tips to bet this week ...

Longshots

I only ride horses that are 10:1 or more. The points you get for 2nd or 3rd place finishes with those horses are better than winning with a favored horse. Also ride the 99:1 horses. If you can get a 2nd or 3rd with 1 of them, they pay out 2000+ points. And if you win you'll be getting at least 5000 points, sometimes 10000 points. That really adds to the points per start.

I guess I am on the right

I guess I am on the right track. Right now I am usually trying horses that are like 7,8,9-1. I have not yet ridden any of the 99-1 horses yet. I don't have the skills (or maybe the sense) to finish better than 12 lengths behind on them!

Most of my longshots come on

Most of my longshots come on distance races (1 1/2) where there appear to be a bunch of speed and near pace horses. Out the gate I let my longshot run at his own pace, sometimes 15 lengths off the lead. At about the 6 furlong mark I start to increase his speed in increments. A little every furlong, by the top of the stretch, especially if you can save ground, you will feel like Eddie Delahousaye(sp?). It will look like you just jumped in at the quarter pole as you pass them like their standing still.

Good Luck

longshots ect

Yes I know what you mean. I meet Eddie D and got his autograph down at Del Mar loved his come from behind riding style. I too perfer the long shots in most races. I have gotten the hang of most styles of riding. The front runners are the hardest to keep consistint. But if you hang off the pace setters you can judge wether or not if you can catch them or not or if you got a chance. Good racing all

math baby!

as Puddles said I handicap the race. It is all mathematics. I looks and see who i think will win and then I see who has a shot. I determine my points if I took the favorite....even money gets 100 points. and then take a look how many points I could get for winning with the other horses I like in the race. And if I dont win how many points can I get for second. So if I like a horse and he is second chose at 5 to 1....then I will take him over the even horse....because second plans till gives a lot of points and first place it a ton of points. Sometimes if the favorite is 2 to 1 I must take (Havin Fun)....so there is my method....but I am not as high on point total as people with 200 per race.

15-1 and out

I think it would be nice if there were a minimum amount of races each week one had to race in to factor in the points per race weekly standings. It seems kind of pointless that someone can win with a 15-1 shot and then not run another race for the rest of the week and sit at the top of the weekly standings. Other than that, this game is perfect.

VIP players

No-VIP players get the same amount of points for winning game play on a per race bases (max per race is 500 community points) BUT what they do get is the chance to EARN 5X as many points per day. VIP players can earn 5000 per day or 150,000 per month . Free members can only earn 1000 max per day or 30,000 per month. When we release the new tournament program (soon) there will be 10 as many tournaments to join and you will need points to play in them.

VIP Players

No, what I meant was if a regular player jockeys a 10-1 longshot to victory & gets 800 points for that win, does a VIP player get more than the 800 points for the same victory just because he is a VIP player? I hope that makes more sense.

500 is the most amount of points any player can earn no matter what their status is. VIP members can earn a daily total of 5000 non VIP 1000
