How about an email notification of upcoming tournaments?
Or at least put them up on the calendar a little sooner (cant see any future ones listed now) so we have a bit more notice.
Twice now ive logged into the site to find out its the day after a tourney has started and registrations have closed
Very very frustrating!!!
Comments
I believe the team is still working out the best practices for tourney and keeping everyone informed. Please email requests like this to support@horseracegame.com
In the interim please check back frequently to see all the new tourneys available to play.
I suggest you just keep checking the horse racing calender and watch out for the emails we send 1-2 per week. I also suggest you add yourself to derbygirl's blog. She writes up 2x a week on whats going on in when it comes to horse racing tournaments . There are several other blogs that you might want to subscribe to for solid update information about our horse racing game and general comments about racing and our horse racing online community as well as horse racing news.
We are still trying to figure out the best way to make our virtual horse racing community and online fantasy racing game grow in the best manner
We will get it figured out ,sorry
Have fun racing
Derbygirl made multiple posts last week mentioning that tournaments would be posted at the end of the week. We also mentioned them in two e-mails that went out last week.
The current weeklong tournaments gave a 72 hour window for signups and more tournaments will be posted later in the week. We have to walk a tightrope to keep everyone pleased, some people are complaining that we send out too many notifications, others not enough.
I would recommend subscribing to Derbygirl's blog because she normally posts a message about the tournaments that would create a notification for you within an hour of the new tournaments being posted. This is the best way to be sure you are "in the know" when a new tournament is upcoming.

If you are thinking you are winning. Resistance is victory.
Another way to keep up with the tournament status is to subscribe to the iCal or RSS feed from the Event Calendar.
You will find the iCal and RSS feed icons at the bottom right of all the Event Calendar views. You can use any feed reader (such as Google Reader, FeedDemon, Internet Explorer or even Firefox's Live Bookmarks among others) to view the calendar RSS feed, and any iCal compatible organization software (Google Calendar, MS Office Outlook 2007, Sunbird, Lightning for Thunderbird, etc.) to view the Event schedule along with any other calendar feeds you wish to follow.
