claiming is not my game but a friend talked me into a small partnership and we claimed a cheapee today for 5k.
Put him into your virtual stables for his next race....Czech the Dox. Giving a trainer his first shot....he has a great rep as an assistant trainer, with a keen eye for the claimers.... so why not.

Well hey, the horse is going to be happy with his new trainer, I'm sure :). Mr. Campbell just got back from Fasig Tipton, bought several lovely yearlings that will be sold in shares later [probably late July early August, after the Saratoga sales].
He purchased 4 Limehouse yearlings, a Trippi, and a Lion Heart.
The Lion Hearts look smashing, and Trippis always look like a carbon copy of pops.
Limehouses are very racy, athletic individuals. Everyone loves them. :D
well good luck to you on those yearlings. I seemed to have noticed a lot of Trippi's on the NJ circuit recently....they seem like very nice horses.
They are! All of them give 110%, whatever level they may be competitive in.
Here are some pics of current Trippi runners Dogwood has:

I'll post more later, but you can see similarities throughout their conformation. I know it's harder to see with Sinkwich, but he has the same hip, head, and forelegs.

the trippis do look good.
I saw your roster of 2 year olds...I believe Kickapoo broke his Maiden at Monmouth right?
oK NOT TO SOUND RUDE OR ANYTHING BUT WHAT IS A CHEAPEE?!?!?!
just a figure of speech, 5k is the lowest price/ level you can claim a horse in NJ
Its so fun watching those type of races. Calder has some hard campaigners that have raced 115 times! Some have more money to show for it, but mostly $45,000 is the range you see in earnings. :)
the horse when we got him was somewhat neglected so we have put a lot of tlc into him which hopefully pays off.
Floated his teeth
Fixed his feet (and shoes)
Fixed and nursed a querky ankle
Gave him accupunture and chiroprachty along with other care for a stiff back
A lot of nutritional vitamins
Even if he runs poorly he should feel like a new horse and be much happier. (though his mean disposition does not show it).
While I do like having a healthy horse, I do need him to pick up a check for us :)
hey i looked at the horse pic and he is toooooooo cute. he is adorable!!!!
you mean the black horse in my signature here in the forums....man can that dog, I mean, horse run!!!! Fetches a ball like no other horse I have ever seen
i'm a millionaire. own many, many race horses. have 3 top horses, and i USED to own EIGHT BELLES!!!!!!!! i'm still upset she died.
good for you
I remember Sinkwich at Gulfstream. Most of our horses are in the mid-atlantic area and 3 are down where I live in Florida.
none of your horses won! haha! you're just a little kid who thinks her horse can win a race. haha! yeah, right!
Misty, I think we all can see who the little kid is here.
Yah, and I owned Cigar. Clown....
You nailed that right on the head Gators704!!!!! Little kid is exactly what I was thinking!
Good luck to the person that claimed the horse. Ya never know, there are some rags to riches stories out there!
