I recently bought the 2008 horse file with the points I earned from winning the recent tournament and I really love it. A couple things I noticed with Big Brown in particular were: He never ever breaks well and he is always too far off the pace. Also, he doesn't like the slop at all. I know being too far off the pace is because even though his running style usually says "Stalker", if you go to adjust race setup details he is usually set for mid-pack early with his when to move being farely late. I have tried putting him at go for the lead and although he usually doesn't get it when his competition is stiff, but he still doesn't break well. I wonder if this is programmed into his characteristics.
BTW, I have the 3 year old males and up for 08, 07, 06, and 04 so if anyone wants me to test some horses against each other in multiple races I'd be up for doing it. Just put a combination of horses here and I'll try it out the way some people have been doing with other races.

how about a 12 horse race using ghostzapper,curlin,smarty jones and lion heart with 8 other medicore horses. 10 f at belmont
Ok, I ran them. 10 races and as expected none finished worse than 4th. Usually the 4th place finisher finished 15 or 20 lengths ahead of the 5th anyway. I ran them over a fast track all at age 3 under special weight 126 as well. I gave 10 points for 1st, 6 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, and 0 for 4th(last).
Ghostzapper-82 points (7 wins)
Smarty Jones-49 points (1 win)
Curlin-34 points (1 win)
Lion Heart-25 points (1 win)
Ghostzapper as I expected really dominated. In the game, Ghostzapper is a complete beast and the only 2 horses I can beat him on without a fluke occurance are Big Brown and Barbaro. Smarty Jones was clearly the second best. There was a tough competition for third though. Lion Heart had the lead until the 6th race and then Curlin got going. In the second half LH only got one 3rd and 4 lasts. Curlin got 1 first, 1 second, and 2 thirds.
Any other match ups?
