Horse Racing Fantasy Community

There were a lot of players complaining, and rightfully so, that their students would sign up and then disappear. Now, normally I would say it's probably your mouthwash, but since we're a virtual experience and we know that every member in our game and community has the best hygiene possible, the real problem is, just like any other type of game (horse racing or other), for a lot of new players there's too much depth here or they just plain forget about us.

So, we have just implemented a new feature that allows the mentors to do two things. First, they can send a one-time email notification to any student who has not been active in the community for 7 days. The link will appear on your Mentor Profile page allowing you to send this one-time email notice. The email basically reminds the student that they have signed up for the game and as your student and that you are willing, ready and able to help them succeed. It invites them back to the community and requests that they reach out for you, the mentor, through the Mentor Chat Program.

If the student does not return after 48 hours, you, the mentor, now can use your special powers. All kidding aside, you have the ability to terminate your relationship with that student. What this does is give you the opportunity to recruit another student through the community or be eligible to be requested by another student if that student who was not corresponding with you and was holding you up was your third student.

There are some slight verbiage changes being made to the presentation of the new feature. All that should be done by tomorrow or Friday, but the feature is up, running and, in fact, a couple of players have already found it and sent out some emails.

We love the Mentor Program and we think it's helping big-time and will do everything we can to assist our mentors to maximize their ability to reach out to as many students as possible. We know this is a feature that was requested and now it's available. So, go out there and get rid of those lazy students - just kidding!
