A.P. Indy was Horse of the Year in 1992, and when you watch this finish, you know why! Seattle Slew's son and Secretariat's grandson, he would go on to become a fantastic sire, as well.
Okay, so the 1995 Classic didn't feature a rousing finish. I'm just a big fan of Cigar, who was certainly the best horse of the 1990's, and retired as the all-time leading money winner. Here's his smashing, blazing win in the 1995 renewal of the biggest race:
My personal favorite race of the 1990's was the 1998 edition of the Breeders' Cup Classic, where Awesome Again beat an immensely talented field that included Skip Away and Silver Charm, among others. Watch Awesome Again just fly down the stretch, seemingly from nowhere!
