I agree Ruff but I doubt any of those things will ever happen, HRF has blinders on, they think going forward is the only direction, fixing these things will never happen

I think 7 is a must in some respects. If a gap opens for a horse like it did last night in a race of mine then the horse should be in there. but my horse moved left behind the horse on the rail instead of straight forward and another horse moved left and through the gap.

You raise some good points here Ruff,i agree with you and would hope HRF can implement some of them in the future development of the game,especially the same horses button to name but a few! Lol! ;)

We all know that HRF has a lot on their plate, we just don't know what it is at this time or what they are working on. It would be nice to have the weekly or at least bi-weekly updates (not asking, just saying). As it is now many feel left out in the dark with no other choice but to wait and see what comes up, or to be the squeeky wheel and complain (at the risk of being in the dog house). I didn't want to post because when one asks for something a seed of expectation is planted. I'm not into dissappointment regarding things I can't control so I have chosen to avoid the threads and blogs as much as possible, however I am posting at the request of a fellow community member.

I look forward (hopefully) to the day that this game can have a couple of committees of community members which can be formed to work with HRF to provide input that would help in the improvment and continued development of the game where both can work towards achieving mutual, positive results and respect. I support HRF because I enjoy this game and without the game none of us would be here. I also support the community because I am one of them and see things from that perspective as well. No disrespect inteded but many in the community have spoken in the blogs and threads but he lack of any information from HRF is discouraging.

thats perfect!!!! Expecially Blinkers/Ear Cones/Bandages/Shadow Roll/Tongue Tie as you could help the jockey instructions. Also PURSE it is so stupid!!!!!!! Either lower the entrance fees or make the purse higher!!!!! We need 2 get puddles(user manager i think) involved

I personally like your ideas ruff, especially the same horses button. However I can tell you that number 2 and 5 definately will not happen on the current server configuration.

No on #2 because when a horse is retired only it's name and stats can stay on the server the rest is dropped onto your computer and if you reinstall or purge it then it is gone forever. They have to do that or else they'll have inactive horses bogging the server down and taking up space needed for future new players and for new active stables. I do think they should dump the names unless it is a record holder so the names could be used again though.

Also No on #5 because the races are computed by the program and then the graphics are made and sent out to the computers that requested them... Viewing them then is going to be the closest thing to live you're ever going to see. As for staging public viewing of all races .... once again, it would consume too much space on the server. They send it to your computer to conserve that space on the server for actual game operation and expansion.

I don't mean to pop your bubble but alot of this has all ready been addressed in the forums and Puddles has commented about them as not being practical. So good luck if you plan on pushing your ideas any further on them.

Man I hope that these things would come true...but no one has heard from him in forever. We have been offering up new ideas and betterment of the game for quite sometime now. I mean its his game, his company, his money...but you would think you would talk to your fans, and maybe he does talk to the "golden children" lol. I wish you the best of luck in getting some of these things on the docet!!!

but i don't agree with you in item#1...you said that there was cheating in the jockey's game before...when was that? how was the cheating made and how was it fixed?...and now you said that this time, uninstalling and restalling the game will do the trick...have you proven this?...i think a good jockey will stand out even if you tweak the game a zillion times...why don't you enter my tournament and use this "trick" against me and let's check the result afterwards...

I agree with all 7 of your points. I also agree with Soundofrums. It would be great to have a real mdn races, then move on to nw 1 or nw 2 or even nw of a certain number of pts. I know that the sr restricted races are the alowance races of this game but I think it would be better to change them. Just a thought, it probably won't happen.

and 5 Those in particular would really make this game more of a challenge

Ruffiano-- The more I read this, the more interesting it became. I enjoyed reading your blog very much. I think a few things should be changed about the jockey game. The first thing being the blocking. I hate this because when you are coming into the stretch, a horse will come out making you go so wide that you lose energy.

Would be great to have a Hrf Derby every year with qualifiying races and also maidens for unraced horses.

I like the concept of being able to manually object an ending to a race, but supposed you are riding or betting in a race and either you or someone else commits a foul. Could there be a situation where the computer brings up an inquiry?

Would like to see in the G1 breeders Finals,just before the race is run to see your horse in the parade ring with your jockey colors.And a short clip as they run down to the strarting gate.

while the game is a great game... they used to listen to us more often but now I believe they are satisfied enough with the base product (even if we are not) and focus all there time now on moneymaking schemes and new ways to make more money rather than improve the game itself.

I coudnt agree more , and I coudnt have said it any better......Imagine as good as this game is, woudnt it be even more awesome to add some Ideas? every game maker updates thier game play every year, or people would get bored of it and move on...Imagine if the game Madden still was the same from back in 1990? who would play it? .....I think you are right xanadu, thye are just happy with what they have, and are now just focusing on marketing now..Marketing is great and games need it, but u have to update gameplay also.....and Im not talking about tournaments and quarterly award programs, Im talking the actual game play adding things to the graphical areas....

I do like the idea of random track conditions. When you enter a tourney all you should know is that is on the dirt.. the actual surface should show up on race day just like in real racing. When you enter its should just say Dirt or Turf.. except for non changing surfaces of course like Synthetic or Sand
