To be frankly honest, we did not do any site work today. It was Sunday and the team had three days of 18 hours back-to-back to back. They would have been non-productive. With that said, not only is our existing team in full force later tonight and tomorrow, but we’ve also brought in a specialist team that will be focusing on two areas – site speed and performance and data consistency. Some of these issues are clearly related to inconsistent data being passed throughout our server cluster. I’m not sure if the issues go back all the way to the migration or since we’ve adding new servers to deal with the number of queries.
I’m not trying to hide anything. There are quite a few open issues. I’m not sure of the complexity of some of them. I will have a better idea by this time tomorrow on where we are and a realistic time frame to clear up the most critical issues. This will depend big-time on how much of a role the server configuration is playing in some of these issues, if any. As I said in yesterday’s update, I’m hoping to start development on the Secondary Stable page this week and wrap it up very quickly but I have to get my arms wrapped around the major issues so players can be fully functional with the game even if it’s at a slower pace. Tomorrow’s update should be more substantive. Right now I’m heading to the bar and will drink myself into oblivion. Just kidding. (Maybe not…)

PS – That doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll be drinking alcohol!
It's OK to drink alcohol, Mike. You are old enough.

Thanks for the open candor. Take a break and enjoy what you have built. Many thanks to the team for putting in the hard work to fix the most critical issues. Not sure who unityman is but he has been great. Have fun!
Enjoy the short break and thanks for the communication. You guys will be way more productive after having a / some breaks, just like a closer horse.
I have a feeling that by the end if this week the game will be 99% and 99% of the people will be very happy.
I think you and the team are rounding third base and heading home on this project. The completion now appears in sight. Have one for Starfish.
I think you are doing an exceptional job in dealing with the inevitable bugs. I have just enough computer knowledge to understand how such an immense project will break out. Take your well earned rest and know what a marvelous job you have done. Don't let the chronic complainers get you down. All will run smooth and well sooner than you expect.
Yep it's me. the new issue that i am having started at exactly 21:15pm Sunday july 29( this is HRF time)according to Points transaction page and desk top client. My Jockey points are NOT updating. I have refreshed the page and Desk top Client several times points still the same. I emptied my temp internet files, Closed and then reopened program. Even rebooted my computer. I has changed to the new day , I ran one race now it is updating. But still no points from yesterday at 21:15 i had 4500 pts on desktop client , they were there until it changed to new day. It did add the points 30 from the blogs and fourms, in all that time even a mule could win 1500 pts.
all work and no play makes jack an happy man...... and they and you exhausted not good for all
Hello again,
In the last two days, I have picked up approximately 50,000 points in trainer tournaments that I don't believe posted to my account. Any help would be appreciated.
I have been saying for months that this is a dedicated company and I hope you people are starting to see why. 18 hour days? That's amazing. One of the things I have noticed in regards to site speed, is when you click to go to the forums it is very slow. But it seems faster once you are in the forums. Some other areas in the site are a lot faster than they were last week. Keep up the good work you will get there.
The team has been doing good job , you all deserve the time off drink a few beer and have fun
Thanks for the updates and all the hard work. I am enjoying the new aspects alot - especially the new stable page.
@MYSONGFORYOU
I saw someone replied to you on that topic in another thread, not sure if you have already seen that and/or if the issue is now resolved for you. Basically since one now gets free points every day for signing in and then can only get a certain points total per day at most it could have been that you maxed that out.
Thanks for the understanding to all and thanks usagame for the cheering words to me, too =)
Maybe i should have actually said who i am before just jumping in to reply to many threads =)
I´m a game designer/developer working on all the new 3d content, so things like the stables, outside paddocks, trophies display, race viewer etc.
So i work on game code, 3d assets and animations etc most of the time.
So i am actually not from forum/site community support usually, i just thought it could be useful to help out some on the community pages in the launch phase of the new stuff since there´s lots of work on all ends =)
The Don IS old enough but, according to his profile, he's getting younger all the time.
I wish I could drop Five years that quickly.
:-)
Somebody told me that you said you were in your 20s. Now I see you're an old geezer in your 40s.
You got nothing to say.
lol
I wish I was in my 20's, maybe they confused the names and meant to say Amir instead of me. LOL
I did writeup a comeback to Mike post but I feel he may lack a sense of humor so I didnt bother to post it. I dont play in the streets anymore. LOL
i think the max amount of points you can now win each day is now 4500 points and you get 1500 when you log into game each day, this equals the 6000 we were getting before updates so they didnt do us any favor.
As has been said by most of the community, thanks for all the hard work. I know I have seen the site improve in leaps and bounds the last week. I also appreciate the candor and open communication lately. Thank you guys so much for all the hard work.
Bill
Most would want no part of and the amount of frustration must have been overwhelming. By helping the players to understand this, will go a long way. So take a deep breath, enjoy some downtime, it will make the frustrations somewhat easier and the work that has yet to be done somewhat less aggravating.
