This week we have released our first new blue restricted trainer tournaments. These tournaments are restricted based on birth speed rating. It adds an additional strategy to the game and should be fun to watch. We published the first one and gave it an extra special community point prize pool. Over the next couple of weeks, we should see at least ten of these tournaments listed. They are easy to identify. Just search the View Upcoming Trainer Tournaments link on the home page of the community and then further narrow your search to include just restricted tournaments. Again, these are identified with a big "R" surrounded in dark blue. Some of these restricted birth speed rating tournaments will carry VIP bonuses larger than the tournament purses themselves. This is a good reason, in itself, to become a VIP.

We've raised the claiming prices for the 2 and 3-year-old insta-tournaments. You'll slowly see them change out over the next two to three weeks. We posted an entire thread on the insta-tournaments and our strategy behind raising the claiming prices. We have not raised the entry fees, so it will cost more to enter, but it will cost more to claim, which means more community points going back to the owners whose horses get claimed. In addition, we've added a VIP bonus to all of the insta-tournaments. You will start to notice that VIP bonus appear as the trainer tournaments recirculate.

We've modified the View Upcoming Trainer Tournaments page. We've implemented some cool features with it to help narrow down your search and display the eligible tournaments specifically to the horses in your barn. These restrictions are based on age, entry fees and birth speed ratings for the new birth speed rating restricted tournaments. To give you an example, if you only have 5,000 community points in your account and a tournament requires 15,000 points to enter, you won't see that trainer tournament.

We're still having issues with the server. There is so much data we're processing. Everytime we think we've got the system worked out, something else pops up. In addition, we've noticed certain issues tied to the chat module for some players. We also think that's related to the server, but we'll know more next week.

There will be a more detailed update next week including some of the other features and the new client. I've seen several people asking about new horse files. We won't be releasing any new horse files until we release the new client.
