Quick Game Update & Apology for My Recent Actions

Quick Game Update & Apology for My Recent Actions

The next game feature that will be released is tied to the tournament search platform. This feature will allow players to find tournaments a lot easier, specifically restricted tournaments. I’m hoping this is released by the end of this week.

We have also started the last round of testing for the Horse Challenge Program. This is the program that allows you to race your horse head-to-head against another player’s horse (match races). This is another exciting new feature and is another way to keep horses in your Stable active between tournaments. I was testing the system today and it’s working great.

I also got another peak at the desktop client. It’s really coming together. The functionality is so much smoother than the current client. This will probably be one of the biggest enhancements we have seen in our game yet.

The Puzzle Program is off to a huge start. Since we’ve changed the qualifications for the Puzzle Program, specifically associated with Yellow Tournaments, we’ve noticed a large drop of players just running their horses through Yellows to access the puzzle. But, we are now starting to see a couple of Yellow races run with more horses slowly starting to be entered into the other types of trainer tournaments we offer. As of right now, we’re not going to make any additional changes, but it is possible that if the Yellows continue to draw away from the other tournaments because of the Puzzzle Program, we will only allow one or two puzzles from the Yellow Tournaments per horse. In other words, we will further tighten the qualifications to drive players to other tournaments to access the puzzle.

There is a very exciting bonus program that is more than 50% complete. I’ve mentioned it before and will mention it again. Players with horses in active trainer tournaments, excluding Yellow and Insta, will be given opportunities to make fictitious wagers on championship simulated races. The amount of wagering opportunities for each player is based upon the size of his stable and how many of those horses are in active tournaments. Winning these fictitious bets will reward players with big prizes. Again, Yellows and Instas will not count. I truly believe that this in itself will drive more players to be active in tournaments, probably more than the Puzzle Program.

Finally, I want to say that I’m sorry to any of the players who were offended by my actions in the forums these last few weeks. Normally, the forums are not for me, but there are times when the company or the company’s staff or myself have our integrity questioned. When that happens, we must respond. I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of these actions by certain players and then responses by me. There is a lot of player turn going on right now. I’m looking at the statistics and more of the larger stables are newer stables, while some of the past larger stables are cutting down or have left. This is typical in gaming. The good news is, overall active horses in the game are at an all-time high. With the introduction of a very aggressive marketing program that we are rolling out in two to three weeks, I believe the overall site activity will continue to increase and the number of completed tournaments will continue to grow. Please understand that I respect any and every player who has played at this site, and I thank every player for their business. I try to answer as many private messages as I can, even with a 15-hour-a-day workload. I know the customer is first, but I also know that my integrity is as important as anything else. The original players of this game are the heart and soul of Horse Racing Fantasy. They helped launch the dream and I will never forget or can I thank you enough. At the same time, the company has to grow, and that means change as well as accommodations for new players as well. Without growth, we cannot succeed. I’m looking forward to providing everyone new opportunities, new features and more fun. To the new players, enjoy the ride – to the older players, hopefully you will stick around and continue to enjoy what you have helped create.

Its nice to hear a person

Its nice to hear a person with integrity able to represent himself with decorum. You have managed to show modesty or strength when needed and hold your head up high. Its your compassion for the game that you are protecting. Its hard to make prudent comments to longtime players that have invested a lot of years, money and heart in the game but you have done it with admiration. I have never seen partiality in what you have to say and you always deal with the big or the small player alike.

This is a huge challenge for you to make these big changes for the better of the game. I see only see good things happening for you. This is the greatest Horse Racing Game on the net and thanks to you, it will always be.

new players

All the new changes are great, but something needs to be done about tournaments for bsr horses under 117. I don't believe a lot of the new players realize that low bsr horses cannot be ran under the same track conditions and distances more than once or twice before the lose their form. Consequently the green tournaments on fast dirt fill with 15 to 20 horses over and over again, while tournaments on other surfaces rarely fill. The blue tournaments for lower bsr horses are fading away. Even sand and slop tournaments rarely fill. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has given up on finding the best tournament for my horses. Now I can't even get the second best conditions for my horses. No wonder no one runs their horses very long before they retire them.

@ larrcamp

Really? I had no idea. That sounds like something very important for us players to know. Now, so that we all get this correct, and because I am rather dense, can you please clarify this for me and perhaps others? Are you saying horses under 117 bsr lose form if run in more than 1 or 2 consecutive tournaments under same track conditions and distances, or 1 or 2 consecutive races in the same tournament under same track conditions and distances? There's a big difference and I want to get it right. Thanks ahead of time for your reply.

Change

Puddles , sounds like you are moving in a good direction, however if you worked 16 hours a day you might be more productive. Just kidding.

Thank you and hope i can figure this game out soon...

I agree! I'm new to this

I agree! I'm new to this game but not to Horse Racing. Love going to the track when I can (and money allows, lol) and have been to a few beautiful ones such as Saratoga, Gulfstream Park and Arlington.

Thanks for the opportunity to play this game.

I agree with you larrcap........

I've been a member of the HRF community for over 2 years. I have small stable. I've seen the enhancements and changes. Overall, I really enjoy playing the game.

I , too, have noticed that ALL tournament races for horses with a BSR of 117 or LOWER can't race because the tournaments don't fill. I had 2 tournaments cancel this week due to lack of entries in both a Green and a Blue.

Maybe the horses bred now are "automatically" getting slightly higher birth BSR's than before due to the changes being made in the game.

The majority of my "blue collar" horses have been under 115 BSR. I'm beginning to wonder if they are going to "faze out" lower BSR horses and tournies for the lower BSR horses due to enhancements to the game?

I'm reluctant to increase the size of my stable because if the majority of the new horses I've bred have a BSR of 117 or lower, I'll have nowhere to race them!

I have had to retire some of my horses early because I have NOWHERE to run them.
Maybe with the changes Puddles is making to the Yellows might even it all out in the end. Sure hope so.....................
