With all the excitement going on and the launch of our new web game plus the Preakness and summer racing closing in fast, we decided to initiate a nice television campaign starting next week. Our commercials will hopefully be running on TVG, HRTV and our fingers are crossed, on NBC during the Preakness.
Please take a look at the two spots below - one is a 30-second spot and one is a 60-second spot - and let us know which one you like better. For our more established horse racing fans who have been around the track for many, many years, the commercials may be a little 'over the top' for you. These commercials are geared toward gamers and sports enthusiasts between the ages of 18 and 35. We're trying to make horse racing sexy, fun, exciting and engaging. These new television commercials are all part of our online marketing strategy in conjunction with our social media strategy that is also rolling out.
Anyway, enjoy the commercials and please let us know your feedback.
I enjoyed the 30 second spot as well.
It showed the game more and wasn't as disjointed, but I think they both work well.

Ceilteach Múchadh Cobhsaí
The Fighting Celt stable
The 30 second spot is far better, IMO.

is the 30 second one is much better and to the point. The first one is to flashy with split second shots and terrible music. Either way will be nice to see either of them on tv to make the community larger and better..
The 30 second ad was TONS better than the one minute ad because as the horses run on screen it tells what the game is all about(very creative). in the one minute ad it was pretty much an eysore to watch with all of the flickering back and forth....
The 30 second was the best. I can see though where the 60 second will draw some attention.
I guess my attention span ain't all that great because I got bored watching the 60 second commercial...There was not enough reading info. The 30 second seems like there was more info and learned more about the game in 30 seconds less time.
Always Remember That A Bad Day At The Races Is Better Than A Good Day Anyplace Else !!!
The shorter 39 second one is far the best. The first one is too long, repetitive, and flashing imagery is not needed for that sort of commercial. The longer one would put me off, the shorter one would make me want to find out more.
The 30 second is the one! It makes me want to go out and signup now!! The 60 second one I lost interest after about 45 seconds.
Not being in the age group you are aiming for I liked the shorter ad better. I think the longer one will appeal to the age group you want.
the longer one seemed exciting and might appeal more to younger players, but it didnt focus on the gaming graphics as much as the shorter one. it also seemed a little choppy (it might have just been my computer) and at times the words were a little to bright to read. im going to go with the shorter one.

The 30 second One was superior.
The 60 second One sent me into a mild seizure. Now I have to double up on my meds.
I would add after the "Breed and train your own stable", "Then watch them race in tournaments!"
Wish you and the game success in bringing in more players.
While both were arousing, the 30 second commercial was it.
The 60 second clip was like an attractive dame, yet crazy and hard to keep a conversation with.
The 30 second clip was......ooohhh......well.......ooooooooh.....yes.......
the second is catchy ,it gives you a vibe to go to the track but could be a bit longer.
If you stop the flicker in the longer one and show the race like the 30 sec does it would be fine. The longer one is just to choppy. The short has more to show the excitement and detail. If you could combine them, well.. you have a winner!!!!

The 60 second one going in and out of focus and flashing was distracting, it was easier to get the message in the thirty second spot. I think you get more bang for the buck with the shorter one. Twice as many spots for the price?
In the sixty second spot, it would have been nice to use the extra time to show a stable tour!
But then, I'm one of those over fifty types, out of your target range.
I'll be watching the Preakness on NBC, I hope I see your spots!
Either spot probably would've drawn me in and at least gotten me to the website. I joined a couple weeks ago, after stumbling across the simulated race of past Derby Champions on the Derby website. I thought that was pretty cool, so I checked out the site.
I do have to say though, most gamers that stumble onto the site are going to be totally turned off by the disorganization of the community site. I realize that this is on the agenda to be updated, but I believe that a lot of the people who may be drawn in by these commercial will likely be lost once they spend 5 minutes trying to find what they're looking for in the community pages.
The only reason I stuck around, despite all that, is because I'm a horse lover and avid race fan and had a vested interest in hanging around long enough to see what I thought of the game. General gamers, who have a whole internet full of games they could play, with no real attachment to the horse racing aspect, will not be impressed.
