Horsewomen are a rough and tumble bunch. They can mix it up with the best of them, and they are most definitely not afraid to get their hands dirty. One of the greatest things about them is that they almost always have great senses of humor. The following is an incomplete but interesting list of things I have actually heard some horsewomen say while they were in or around their stables, working with their horses. It occurred to me that to hear just about any of these comments away from a stable would ellicit a chuckle or two. Take a gander and tell me what you think, and remember: This is ALL in good fun, so don't take it too seriously!

I tell ya, that was a nice ride, but he's kinda sticky.
He needs a solid 25 minute warm-up.
Relax your back, careful not to pinch with your knees, go with the motion, and then rock your pelvis.
When he gets excited he tends to foam up.
Give him a good hard smack if he refuses.
Make sure to clean it up quick before he sucks it back in.

If he's not ridden at least 4 days a week he gets all cranky.
I rode yesterday, but Stephie is gonna ride him today.
