Horse Racing Fantasy Community

It is an exciting time to be developing software, and by exciting, I mean the horror movie "is there an axe murderer in the closet" kind of excitement. All of the different versions of Windows to support have created a lot of issues for software developers around the globe. But, our dedicated team of code monkeys has been working incredibly long hours to get Horse Racing Fantasy Community Edition into the hands of our users and we're glad to say that we began offering Horse Racing Fantasy CE (v 10.713) earlier this week as a fully Vista UAC aware program with an enhanced installation process and numerous other under-the-hood tweaks and fixes that make the program by far the best version we have ever released. Becoming a Vista aware program required a major rewrite of many portions of the program, and this created an issue for backward compatibility for our existing Horse Files. As of this evening, we have updated all of the Horse Files in our shopping cart except for one, More Horses of 2004, which should be updated early tomorrow to work with the newest build of our software.

One of the nicest features of our community though is that it makes it easy for those of you that purchased Horse Files in the past to update your Horse Racing Fantasy Community Edition software to use these latest versions of the files. Simply go to your "My Account" page and click on the "Files" tab to see the list of files that you have purchased, click on the filename to download your purchased Horse File(s) and run the updated installer. Once you have done that, the next time you run Horse Racing Fantasy, you will see that the purchased files are available. There is no longer a second import process to complete for access to the files, run the installer and you're done.

Also, we have made a change to our Horse Racing Radio Podcast player due to suggestions from the community. Now, when you click on the player, it will open in a new window (you may need to allow pop-ups for our site, if it is blocked. Most pop-up blockers can be bypassed by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard as you click on the player) so that you can listen to the podcasts while visiting other pages on the community.

I'd like to say thanks to all of you that have worked with us during the testing phase as we worked to improve our program for our users, and thank you to the team of coders behind the scenes for the long hours you have put in to help us live up the reputation we have built as the makers of the best virtual horse racing games available. I'll order in an extra bunch of bananas for all the hard work!
