2010 World Equestrian Games: An Endless Visual Feast for Horse Lovers

The world is filled with animal lovers, but many animals that receive this love are anything but majestic. Some are odd-looking, others may qualify as strange or even “ugly,” That’s okay. There is no requirement that an animal look great in order for it to be revered and appreciated.

However, when it comes to horses, most animal lovers agree: they are magnificent specimens; regal, majestic, handsome … absolutely special animals. And the very best of these incredible creatures can be found at the World Equestrian Games.

It should come as no surprise. Horses that are “skilled” and able to perform at a high level (provide a significant return to their owners) are pampered and treated remarkably well. As is true with valuable thoroughbreds, horses that compete in equestrian games are always well-fed, well-bred and are considered “valuable commodities.”

You can see the “difference” in these horses and ordinary work horses at first glance. Top equestrian games horses are sleek, groomed, impressive to look at (almost as if they know it) … a pleasure to watch, especially if you like horses and the equestrian games, as well.

In fact, at this year’s World Equestrian Games, you will be treated to a “visual feast” of a veritable army of spectacular horses that hold their heads high, prance and “showboat” as if they were “equestrian models walking down a runway.” Superior horses seem to know that they are special. They exude an “aura” that you, as a spectator cannot fail to pick up.

If you like horses, really like them, you will find your time at these games to be remarkably worthwhile and rewarding. Each and every horse has the appearance of a successful, happy, fine-tuned athlete. They are always attentive, ears perked up, ready to respond to commands, proud, worthy of an artist’s brush plus your praise and undivided attention.

And remember: these magnificent animals not only look remarkable … they perform in spectacular fashion, too. It is an absolute truth that some humans are born with more “gifts” than others … good looks, athletic abilities, brains, personalities, more. It is equally true that some horses receive equine gifts that separate them from the herd.

The competitors at the World Equestrian Games clearly fall into this latter group. They are living, breathing “pictures of greatness.” As a horse lover, you can expect to enjoy every minute you spend watching these amazing animals at this year’s World Equestrian Games. Enjoy the experience.
