Weemissfrankie, the top 2-year-old filly in California, will attempt to etch her name in the record books Saturday when she takes on five rivals in the $400,000 Hollywood Starlet.

In the Starlet, Weemissfrankie will be attempting to sweep all three of California's Grade 1 races for 2-year-old fillies. She won the Del Mar Debutante this summer and came back to win the Oak Leaf Stakes at Santa Anita. According to a Hollywood Park press release, the only other horse to accomplish this three-race sweep was Excellent Meeting in 1998.

By Sunriver, Weemissfrankie enters the Starlet off a troubled third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies behind likely champion My Miss Aurelia. However, trainer Peter Eurton said the filly returned from Kentucky with good energy and hasn't missed a beat in her training. She's had two sharp works over the Hollywood Park strip since her last race and figures the heavy favorite in this spot.

The biggest challenge to Weemissfrankie figures to be Charm the Maker and Killer Graces. That pair filled the exacta when running one-two in the Sharp Cat Stakes in their last start.

Prior to her win in the Sharp Cat, Charm the Maker was beaten just a length by Weemissfrankie when finishing 3rd in the Oak Leaf. This will be just her fourth start for Hall of Fame trainer Ron McAnally.

Killer Graces posted a career high Beyer Speed Figure when 2nd in the Sharp Cat and may move forward once again with the return to Hollywood Park. That's because her only two wins came in a pair of minor stakes during the Hollywood Park spring-summer meeting.

Rounding out the field for the Starlet is Lady Pecan, who finished 4th in the Sharp Cat for trainer Bob Baffert; Self Preservation, who was beaten by Weemissfrankie in the Del Mar Debutante and Oak Leaf prior to finishing 4th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies; and Mi Vida, who is still a Maiden after four starts.
