SECRETARIAT: Too bad there was no Breeders' Cup when he ran!

Hard to believe, but it's been 36 years since the big horse blew through the Triple Crown like a Tasmanian Devil. His birthday was on March 30th, but I've learned that there are plenty of fans out there who, like me, never get tired of watching this wonderous thoroughbred run! Here's a little sample of his exploits for your eyes and ears:

The Breeders' Cup World Championship races are fast approaching, and this horse brings back fond memories for those who saw him run. He also amazes those who didn't, and his popularity is as strong today as it was back in 1973. Here at Horse Racing Fantasy, you can ride virtually any historical champion, and in a Breeders' Cup race if you like! Imagine seeing the great Dr. Fager shoot for the lead in the Breeders' Cup Classic. Would he be able to hold the lead? Or how about Affirmed vs. Alydar in a fall showdown? Secratariat

the 1970's was probally the greatest decade of horse racing. Probally a little over a quarter of that historic decade of horse racing was because of Secratariat. There now making a movie about him in Walt disney productions.
