Very chalky day at Saratoga on 7/27 with the average winner just over 3-1, but I did hit on 4/10 top pikcs yesterday and now am 13/50 with my top selection. Despite hitting on 4 win bets, a $40 exacta, the feature's trifecta, and the late Pick Three, I still ended up -$41.60 for the day, which brings the grand total to -$263.30 for the meeting. Enough about me, yesterday was all about Winter Memories, who check turning for home then swung out wide, to blow past the field and win by an astounding 4.5L. I posted this pic in yesterday's blog as to how I though the race would finish up using our community horses to act as the Lake George entrants yersterday and I was dead on with the winner, exacta, trifecta. Not gonna bet much on the hurdles, all I know is that Johnathon Sheppard won 4 of the 6 hurdle races here last year and he has a 12-1 shot

Scratches take this one down to a four horse field. Not many non-NY based trainers are winning, so I'm against the 1 as the fav. Think that the pace will set up for my top pick the 5. I'll use those two in the P4

Hard to separate this tough 7 horse allowance, but I will go with the consistent NYB 6-Pocket Cowboys, coming off two splendid races.

Of course the early Pick Four concludes with a baby race where we can see the board, guessing wiht the Motion/Team Valor horse, as they teamed up to win the only 2yr turf race so far this meet yesterday.

Race 6 3+ 8f Turf Maiden Claiming (50k) 30k Purse

Trying a new bet here called the Grand Slam, where your horse has to finish in the money in the first three races, then win the fourth leg. I'll go with a price play the 1 in this one as he had trouble against the fav in last and yes, with my play, I can win it more than once (possibly four times if all the horses i used in the first 3 legs hit the board).
