Today I finally could get to the tourny page but the only tourny I could enter were generals. Most of my horses can't run in generals. Every day seems to bring a new frustration. How much longer must we endure this? I'm pretty addicted to the game so I'll stick it out-- at least until I throw my computer & break it.
Excellence is never "Attained" It is "Created" in those who "Persevere" ..
It seems the key to this game is patience. And for me, the realization that I don't have a horse that wins every race it's in. I suppose there is great realism in that aspect of the game. Also I found a horse can win a race and absolutely suck in the next one even if the races are identical. I know it says I've been a member since Oct. 2011, but I really just joined about a month ago about the end of April or beginning of May. I was surprised to find they don't start you off with a Secretariat right away. You have to try to breed one. The breeding success happens with pairs that randomly "click" temporarily to produce high BSR's . From the most recent "hot combo" You can see the resulting onslaught of Point Given / Susan's Girl progeny chocking up the $75,000 claimers for some time to come. With three BSR's above 140 in one day we have a gazillion 120ish contenders in the aftermath. Got one or two myself. It will be interesting to see how many of them run the same numbers. I know I'm not telling the players that have been here a while anything they don't know. I'm leaving a nugget for newbies like myself, to give hope to their frustrations. Look up Cliff notes, there is a chart of information that will help clarify greatly, how to place your wonder horse without being way outclassed. There is also a reference as to what horses to train against but it appears to refer to Grade 1 races pretty much and not the lower class restricted. More than that I haven't learned yet . Good Luck on the track and "be patient".....
