For those of you who wish to learn about the game, Flyingdaaka is here to help get you started.
BREEDING
Pick 2 horses that you like. Don't get into all this nonsense about "hot breeds" or take a great horse in here and duplicate his parents. You'll feel more proud if you pick 2 horses you like and your horse becomes a good horse in the game. One thing Flyingdaaka will recommend is check the performance of horses offspring in the game (can be done by clicking on the name of the horse you are considering breeding). But, as you will see, good and bad horses can come from the same 2 parents, so don't take too much stock in it.
NOMINATING YOUR HORSE
Flyingdaaka doesn't feel strongly either way on this issue, however, Flyingdaaka wouldn't fully nominate your horse, it just doesn't seem worth it, the price is too high for what appears to be limited opportunity for return. If you want to partially nominate the horse, go ahead.
ENTERING IN TOURNAMENTS
Yes, Flyingdaaka agrees, train your horse in private mode often, find out the strengths and weaknesses of the horse, and enter him in a tournament that the horse can win. Do not put your horse into a tournament that it can't win, just because it is up and running that night. This will tie your horse up for 2 to 3 weeks. If your horse gets passed near the finish line by community horses or other horses you train in training, don't put it in a long race, just the same, if your horse has no early speed in training, don't put him in a 5.5 furlong event.
Don't put your horse into a claiming race unless he has a chance to do something. If your horse looks hopeless, retire him. It will be much cheaper. If your horse shows some talent, and you are ready to accept the possibility of the horse being claimed, go ahead.
VETTING
With new class system, there really is no need to vet, unless you get an absolute pig or if you get a horse that can not run in his class.
LASIX
Use it for every horse in every race. It can't hurt. It can only help.
STABLE MANAGEMENT
Flyingdaaka begs you not to go crazy and breed 100 horses. This will be way too costly, remember, it also will cost you 10000 points per horse per month to keep it active. What are you going to do with the 95 pieces of junk you have now ???? Put them in the garage with the rest of your clutter ??? No, Flyingdaaka has already watched some people go way overboard breeding too many horses, it is a recipe for frustration and a dislike for the game. 5 to 10 horses should be enough to effectively manage your stable, and keep you entertained without spending money. As you go along and understand the game more, and feel comfortable, go increase your stable to whatever size you wish.
BECOME A VIP
This is a must. Without doing this, you simply don't have a chance at accruing enough points to give you some flexibility. It is only $9.95 a month. Think of all the foolishness you already could spend for that, a lousy movie returning no entertainment. A horrible meal at a filthy restaurant that sits in your stomach all night. $5 to win and place on a horse you knew had no chance at the track. This is the best entertainment for that kind of money, again, so long as you don't go overboard. If you handle things correctly, this is the only payment you should be making per month on the game. The key is, be sure to get your 6000 points per day as often as you can by simply playing the jockey (or betting) game. Enter jockey tournaments, they are entertaining and very low cost and will help you build points. If you are able to do this daily, great, if not, even 4 times a week, that's 24000 points. Enough to buy a horse !!
CHALLENGE BUDDY
Stay out of that room. Don't blow your hard earned points on others horses. Haven't you learned enough already about blowing money at the horses in real life ?? There is a 30% vig in there, making it impossible to profit unless you want to dedicate your life to that room and have a chance at the jackpot. If you have a horse in the final race of your tournament, and you want to go in and place a bet on your horse, go ahead, otherwise, stay out.
Now aren't you glad you read Flyingdaaka's blog before getting confusing advice in the community ???

I just want to add one thing here. I am not a VIP and I think I am doing pretty good. I just keep buying points along with being active in the community and somewhat winning challenge buddies. Most of this stuff in the get help page. It is still a nice blog. Gotta jet; the track is calling me to go ride. BYE!!!!
