This is a real simple answer. Though there are horse racing games out there that reward monetarily, they require you to buy your horses with cash. In fact, I personally know several people who have lost thousands of dollars playing these ridiculous games. I actually read in a forum on one of these sites where a couple of players were talking about how much money they lost - almost $10,000 US in what they called 'gambling', buying these computer horses.
The beautiful part about our game is that we give you the ability to enjoy all the benefits of what real racing has to offer without the risks. We portray real accurate past performance information that parallels horse racing like no other game out there.
Although my blog is normally about handicapping and how to be a good jockey or a great bettor, I thought I needed to talk about how to accumulate those community points, the currency in our game, that will allow you to enjoy every aspect of play we have to offer. Soon, all our members will be creating their own tournaments. There will be hundreds of tournaments going on simultaneously. All of this is going to require a fee to enter. The good news is, you can build up a huge bankroll by just playing in community mode successfully, especially if you're a VIP, or taking advantage of those free point offers from the top navigation menu here in the community. See, I've been in those strategy meetings with the guys who are running this operation, and they want to build up a huge player base but don't want our players to spend a lot of money during that process. Yes, I know they want you to be a VIP, a whopping $10 a month or 30 cents a day and, yes, they would love for you to buy a few horse files here and there, but they have really set up a program that can create a ton of enjoyment for our players without spending a lot of money. And, let's not forget, offering the chance to win some great prizes and, of course, have many hours of interactive fun racing other members from all over the world.
As far as a handicapping tip or pointer, today I'll just touch base on tournament management. If you've ever been to a race and sportsbook in Las Vegas, you'll notice a bunch of guys sitting around handicapping, literally, four or five races simultaneously looking for as much action as they can find, betting on all different horses at different tracks. Quite frankly, it can be very confusing. We've set up a great tournament schedule and management program built right into the main page of your game (the new version when released) so it will be easy for you to quickly know where you stand in each racing event that you are participating in and whether you need to run more races or not. Review the new video tutorial on tournaments. It will give you some great insight on how this whole management process will work. The successful players who will win most frequently are the guys who find their strengths and manage those events they enter. We have created this new platform so you can actually participate and get as much racing action as you want, whether as a jockey or a bettor, and still have complete control of where you stand at any time in each one of those tournaments.
