Minor Updates

Well the Monmouth Park meet finally opens this Saturday and the first card has been drawn. To say I am excited is an understatement. Cant wait to go Saturday and watch the races live. On the personal front my horses are training forwardly for their 2009 campaign. Tomorrow, Beacon, Frank, Karma and Pete all move from the training center over to the track. Frank and Beacon have trained one official work over the Monmouth track and while their times were not sparkling, I will tell you we were very pleased with what they did.

Frank is now finally over a lot of his mental issues and is dead fit. He worked a half mile and job out another mile and was not even winded. We are looking for a stakes race to put him into in the next couple weeks. The great unknown is what type of race. I am a little concerned about where to put him, I think he needs a positive experience to show him he can compete...in California he was racing over his head and I think mentally screwed him up. Should be interesting what the trainer does.

Beacon is looking great and show also be running in allowance company in the next couple weeks. While his fitness level is not there yet (may need a race) he has such a heart of a lion.

karma continues to train and look good too hopefully by mid to end summer she runs. Pete is getting ready to go into full training after his 45 days off to allow his knees to grow.

My biggest concern was circling around getting partners for the 2009 partnership. But things seem to working themselves out and the plan of adding Frank worked. He was selling 5 shares and 4 have been purchased and two people are very interested in the last share. So seems like things are finally settling down.

In all it is spring and every horse is a champion but I am soooooo excited as the news season begins!!!!

Sounds like good progress

As we've seen recently anything is possible. Could you imagine being up on that podium as one of the owners of a race like the triple crown or breeders cup. Man, what a thrill.

I remember Frank the Barber, from his days on the west coast. A decent sort, but California can be tough at times. Best of luck with that one.

Stay thirsty my friend :)

May they all come home safely!!!

they say it only takes one.

they say it only takes one. Frank the Barber learned some bad habits under Stute, mainly not wanted to pass other horses. I hope he unlearns them fast!
