No need for a long post, but pour a 40 ounce for Pineland’s Pete. He is getting gelded tomorrow. It was supposed to be today but the big snow fall (12+inches) here in Jersey gave him a day reprieve. Gelding him is the right thing to do, it will help him focus and unless you think you will be breeding, it makes sense. I have also heard that gelding helps develop muscle on the young colts. I don’t know if it is true or not but why not.
I have spent the last few evenings updating our website…it went stale with nobody monitoring it for a while. I struggled with the out of date software but think I got it looking pretty good. We are on a huge budget (say zero dollars) and I got a lot of pics and our awesome new logo on the site. One of our partners does some graphic design and did a killer job.
We seem to be inching closer to finally getting our 2009 partnerships finalized but still are not there. I really fear it has taken us so long to get our act together we are missing out potential partners. I have been getting stuff from other partnerships for weeks. Traditionally most of our partners have been from past partnerships and they don’t seem to join until the last minute before the NJ season opens, but we also always seem to get one new person from the internet and I don’t want to be too late to attract these people.
I really am concerned about how the recession will effect business but I guess you won’t know until you get out there.
That’s all for tonight I am going to snuggle on the couch with the Dog,
