Developing a Winning Strategy
As you can imagine, one of the questions I get asked most often is what it’s like being a female jockey in a typically male dominated sport. And I have to say, the guys are great. The jockeys I compete against are fair and they’re just great riders. Of course, that doesn’t mean that I’m holding back once the gate drops! Even though we have a respect for one another, when I get in the gate, it’s all about me and my horse – that’s my team and I’m all about winning!
Horse racing is definitely a physical sport and has it’s challenges. To help improve my performance, I just sort of zone everything and out and then focus on how my horse feels. After that, I concentrate on improving my position and giving myself the opportunity to be in a good position at the quarter pole. I think that’s a great strategy for the game also. Position is really important and when it comes to competing in the game, you should always be seeking to nab that ideal position. Another important thing about being a strong competitor, both on the real track and in the game, is to have a strategy. For me, I read past performances of all my horses. That can be a big help when you’re playing the game also. Studying your opponents will only increase your chances of success. I also study the jockeys I’m going to be racing against and also draw a diagram before every race that details what I think will happen. This helps me come up with a strategy before I ever even hit the track. But no matter what happens at the gate, even if your horse gets delayed, don’t panic. Just go with the flow, and above all else, just focus on really seeing the race.

Before I am raceing in the game , am always seeking an ideal position to . In the game I try new things and I try not to get in to front at first to save my horses energy to the middle or end of the race . No matter if I take dead last or first palace , I try my hardest and like you said in the game I see how my horse feels and try not to push it to far. If am last in the game am just glad I crossed the finish it's also an honor to take first in the game an i've done that like i don't how many times but a few .
