Horse Racing Awards Program - Our Virtual Game to Give Away Real Trophies

barebackrider's picture

And the nominees are... Well, I'm not quite ready to say that yet, but I've been handed the task of building out and implementing our semi-annual awards program. Yes, I know we're a virtual racing game and community, but we've got quite a few things in motion that are going to reward our players in addition to the badges that we currently give out. As we continue to execute our program, both as an educational platform for new players and a fun, entertaining game for traditional horse racing fans, we felt the next necessary step would be the Horse Racing Fantasy Semi-Annual Awards Program.

The complete list of categories will be published next week. They include the traditional Best Horse, Top Stable, Top Trainer, Top Breeder, Best Jockey, and several other expected categories, but what is really exciting is the addition of other categories for the smaller stables and newer players. This is as far as I can go right now without getting into trouble.

Though we do believe we've got all the categories covered, I want feedback. No matter how outside the box your thinking is, it's okay. Post it here by responding to my blog.

The awards program will consist of certificates and trophies. This is the first phase of our awards program. The second phase of this program involves something even more exciting, but that's an announcement I'm sure Puddles will make in the next two to three weeks. I look forward to reading your seeing your ideas for additional categories of recognition in our horse racing game and community.

Funniest Home Video for helping new members? ,,lmao
OK serious now....
Any new form of rewards would be awesome however i feel ALL awards including current best horse ect ect should be refreshed every age group,, just like real life,, best 2yr old, best 3 yr ect ect... even top stables should be money/points earned that year.. NOT total points ever earned... much better for all new members to compete for a TOP STABLE 2010 AWARD.

Davo..

I think a good idea would

I think a good idea would be.
kinda like tourny win a bonus point system.

Recive bonus points for your first traning game win
bonus points for the most 5 training wins per week
bonus points for the leading race winner for the week
bonus points for the leading trainer for the week.
bonus points for the most wins during a week
bonus points for the most training wins during a week

all so a badge as well.

I think if this system was in place along with the currunt system people wan`t to win and do well , what means if there are really good rewards people are willing to spend a lot more extra money.

People like to see there name up the top of the trainer boards. A player is ranked by the amount of wins they have and the amount of badges they have.

Customers like to recive free stuff.
I`m not braging about this I own a large black opal minning company. It`s easy to get a customer , It`s harder to keep a customer , and even harder to keep that customer for number of years. I find what works the best , for me is to give customers free opal no matter how much they spend. It`s the fact that they have spend money with me and they are expecting to recive the one item they bought and they get all the extra`s and they go wow i did not expect all this. Then they buy for you again and again.

Some of my customers have started out buying a $50.00 opal from me and i thought it`s only a $50.00 opal big deal and they were so happy what they recived and the extra`s the customer service to back that up and the willing to help them , they have turned out spending millions of dollars a year with me.

It`s one thing having a good product , We are all looking and wanting new customers , it`s what you give back what`s the dif between keeping a customer or loseing a customer.

some thing to think about.
Play hard , Bet hard , Drink hard , or go home
