2012 Grade 2 San Juan Capistrano at Santa Anita Park Rounds Out Racing Weekend for VIPs

The Grade 2 San Juan Capistrano is a 1 3/4-mile turf race which features Bourbon Bay who has six graded stakes wins including five at Santa Anita Park. He won the San Juan in 2010 and is looking for a repeat and enters this year's San Juan following a win in the Grade 2 San Luis Rey at 1 1/2 miles on March 25. Dhaamer and Eagle Poise look like they have the stamina to go the 1 3/4-mile trip, but whether they have the class remains to be seen. Dhaamer finished second March 24 in the Grade 3 Tokyo City. Eagle Poise has won 5 of 14 on synthetic, including a Grade 3, 1 3/4-mile race on the Woodbine synthetic. Rounding out the field is Hog's Hollow, Bonfire Knight and Harrods Creek.
