Saturday's Grade 3, $250,000 Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct features a field of ten who will try to distinguish themselves as possible Derby candidates. Awesome Act, a horse that has never run on dirt, is the 7-2 morning-line favorite. He most recently finished a closing 4th in the Breeders Cup Juvenile turf. The first three finishers from last month's Whirlaway are back for the Gotham in Peppi Knows, Afleet Again and Three Day Rush. Peppi Knows has won 4 of 6 starts, makes his third start at Aqueduct after running second to Buddy's Saint in last November's Grade 2 Remsen and is coming off a win in last month's Whirlaway. Wow Wow Wow and I've Got the Fever look to be the pacesetters. Yawanna Twist is undefeated, having won two races, each by large margins. Shrimp Dancer, Turf Melody, and Afleet Again complete the field.
This will be a challenging race for our VIPs to run and determine who the winner's circle occupant might be. Should be exciting racing fun.
General members, you should definitely consider becoming a VIP because perks like our regular weekend prebuilt races are just one of the benefits of VIP membership that take your game play and enjoyment to a whole new level. That small 33-cent-per-day subscription fee is a wee thing compared to the huge amount of enjoyment and challenge you find as a VIP. There are a ton of benefits that accompany the VIP membership, like the special VIP tournaments that just started up again and include real prizes in addition to winning community game points. Just go to the Get Help section (from the top navigation menu), click on the Subscription Services Grid topic and check out all the benefits available to our VIPs.
Have fun this weekend, VIPs, and enjoy the Gothan Stakes at Aqueduct!

Gotham Stakes
Thought I'd mention the simulated race sent to VIP's was set at the wrong distance - the actual race is run at 1 & 1/16th miles, not a flat mile.
Already sent puddles a PM on this. Thanks.
