The $300,000 Grade 1, 6-furlong Prioress Stakes has attracted nine contenders, one of them being the Bob Baffert-trained Gabby's Golden Girl, who intends to make this her second straight Grade 1 victory following her win in the Acorn Stakes on June 6. Challenging Gabby's Golden Girl will be the Todd Pletcher-trained Light Green, who recently earned a Buyer Speed Figure of 109 in the Fall Aspen, and Tony Dutrow-trained Cat Moves and Steve Asmussen-trained Heart Ashley. Rounding out the field are On the Menu, Luster, Reforestation, Be Fair and Selva.
